    Microsoft Lumia 950 Launched in India

    Microsoft launches its  Windows powered Lumia 950 in India -a phone which is being touted as the phone that works just like your PC and runs on Windows 10. It features a 5.2 inch Quad HD display and measures 8.25 mm in thickness. Lumia 950 1

    Lumia 950 comes equipped with Cortana, Microsoft Office and the Windows Store, and can be connected to a bigger screen, keyboard and mouse using an additional accessory called Microsoft Display Dock. The Displa Dock also charges your phone simultaneously. While the apps run on the big screen, the user can still continue to make calls and receive messages on the phone at the same time.

    The handset further boasts of a 20 MP main PureView camera, capable of 4K video capture; the front camera is marked at 5 MP. Nokia 950 has 32 GB of internal storage, expandable up to a 200 GB using a microSD card. The battery of the phone is of 3000 mAh. The phone is available in two colour variants -black and white, and is priced at Rs. 43, 699.

The product launch event is scheduled for the 30th of November 2015 and is expected to reveal the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.

The Insiders who attend the event will be able to purchase the Windows 10 supportive smartphones; and just like at the London event, here too will the sales packages arrive with a Microsoft Display Dock.     Microsoft has been very busy prior to its December 2nd product launch in UK. Just having announced pre-orders for the Lumia 950 and 950 XL; they have now announced that the Lumia 950 will go on sale through the Microsoft Store.

    The two smartphones are Microsoft’s flagship Windows 10 editions. The Lumia 950 is currently selling at $19.97 on contract, which is approximately Rs.1,320. However, keep in mind that this is the AT&T variant, as the Lumia 950 will be exclusive to this carrier for the time-being. The Lumia 950 will come in to colour variants – Black and White. If you want to buy the Lumia 950 sans contract, then it will be available at $589.99, that is, approximately Rs. 39,003.

    Microsoft Sends Out Invites For Its 2nd December Product Launch Event

    Microsoft is holding its launch event on the 2nd of December 2015, where it will showcase its new flagship phones with Windows 10. The two phone are – the Lumia 950 and the Lumia 950 XL. However, this event will be exclusive to Windows Insiders, who have already been invited for the scheduled event.

    Apart from gaining exclusive access, they will also have the ability to purchase the two smartphones at the event. For those who do decide to purchase one of the two devices will also receive a Microsoft Display Dock, which will help them turn an external screen into a PC-like experience.

    The event will be held Manchester and London at 6:00pm (local time). Both phones are expected to feature liquid cooling, USC Type-C, Windows Continuum, and 1440p OLED displays.Pre-orders for the Lumia 950 XL have already begun.

    Microsoft Will Begin Rolling Out Windows 10 to Smartphones in December

    After Microsoft’s mega event yesterday, we found out that both its Lumia 950 and 950 XL will be powered by the new Windows 10 software. The current Lumia users though, had nothing to gain from this announcement, until now. Recent reports suggest that the existing Lumia owners will also be receiving the Windows 10 update by December.

    This bit of information was seen on Facebook when Microsoft responded to a comment on its official Lumia page. Here is what the conversation looked like :

    Furthermore, they also added that they would “make an upgrade available for majority of Lumia smartphones running Windows Phone 8.1,” however, this announcement is only good for Lumia phones that have an internal memory of 8GB or above. Fair enough. What do you think?

    Leak : This is the New Flagship Phone from Microsoft

    There have been many rumours afloat, about Microsoft launching their new Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL. Along with these rumours we have had leaks about their specifications, and now, thanks to a Chinese website WPXAP, we have a prototype of what the new Microsoft phone could look like.

    The prototype seems encased in a black casing, so what we do know, is that the new Microsoft phone will come with a USB port Type C. It is reported that Microsoft is currently testing the handset in this casing in order to prevent anymore leaks.

    Microsoft is expected to unveil the 5.2 inch Lumia 950 and the 5.7 inch Lumia 950 XL in late September or October. It is said that the Lumia 950 XL will include Microsoft’s Pen Technology, a new smart cover with a circular cut out. Both handsets are said to be high-end and will come with a 20MP PureView camera with a triple LED flash.
