Xiaomi is sending out press invites for its scheduled event on 5 September in New Delhi, India, where the company is expected to launch its ‘flagship dual camera’ smartphone. Xiaomi’s media invite states “Join us for the launch of our first dual camera smartphone in India”. We are still unsure whether the Mi 6 or Mi 5X are to be launched.
The event invite image sported a dual camera, suggesting, that one of the sensors will come with a larger aperture than the other.
Both the dual camera smartphones have already been launched in China. Therefore, in terms of specifications and features, not much is left for speculations.

Specifications and details for two of Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship phones have leaked. The information was leaked by a user on the Chinese website Weibo. Rumor has it, that the two phones are Mi 6 and Mi 5c.
According to the leaks, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will have two variants – one will have 4GB of RAM, 32GB of in-built storage and Full HD resolution, while the other will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of in-built storage along with WQHD screen resolution. Xiaomi is hard at work in prepping it’s next Android flagship to be launched around MWC. The Xiaomi Mi 6 much like the Mi 5 will feature an under clocked chipset. Samsung is partially responsible for the lack of 835 chipsets for manufacturers. Samsung has placed a big order for the first lot of Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipsets making it difficult for companies to keep up. The Snapdragon 835 will not be available to LG and HTC according to a new reports. LG will use the dated Snapdragon 821 and while HTC will delay the launch of the next HTC flagship in order to get sufficient supply of the 835 chipset.

Xiaomi’s successor to the Mi 5, the Mi 6 will arrive on 6th feb if sources are to be believed. The company will be redesigning the phone to resemble the Mi Note 2 and will include features like IP68 waterproofing. Xiaomi is using the Snapdragon 835 chipset and will use upto 6GB of RAM in the base variant of the phone.
The Chinese smartphone maker will launch several variants of the Mi 6, including a Mi 6 Pro which will feature 236 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM.
