MTS (telecom operator) has launched a new feature phone in association with Lava, the Lava L661. The device comes bundled with MTS unlimited talk plans, the company has not detailed the talk plans for the handset. Lava L661 has been priced at Rs. 1,199.
The device has a 1.8-inch TFT screen, a micro SD card slot with expandable memory of upto 4 GB. The device supports speaker phone and has some utility features like Alarm, Calculator, Calendar, Predictive text T9, Vcard, Group SMS, Scheduler and can also be used for call conferencing. MTS India has introduced three latest Android-based smartphones to expand its CDMA smartphone portfolio.
These three smartphone named MTS MTag 351, MTS MTag 352 and MTS MTag 281 are priced in the range of Rs. 5499 to Rs 7499. The MTS smartphone range run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and come bundled with “˜Unlimited’ data plans.

MTS India on Wednesday announced a new scheme under which subscribers can make local, STD, roaming and ISD calls (to USA and Canada with a cap of 100 minutes per month) at a flat rate of 30 paise per minute. SMS’s will also cost 30 paise, while data usage is priced at 30 paise/MB.
The company, which has over 16 million users, has announced this scheme for both new and existing subscribers through a recharge coupon priced between Rs 50 to Rs 100.
When on roaming, MTS subscribers will be able to make and receive calls at 30 paisa per minute to anywhere in the country. MTS also announced free access to Facebook for a month [...]
The MTag will come with an "all you can use" data plan
MTS today launched its fourth Android smartphone, the Mtag 401, which is going to be bundled with unlimited data plans. The phone, which features an 800MHz Qualcomm processor, 4-inch display with WVGA resolution, 1700 mAh battery, 3MP camera and 170MB of internal memory,comes with 256MB RAM is priced at Rs 8999 and is available in the market for purchase starting today.
According to reports, MTS also plans to launch an Android powered tablet later this year.
