Apple today announced some new stuff including the New OS, Mac Pro and the iPads. The event was mainly expected to unveil the next generation iPad, Apple announced iPad Air which is a 9.7 inch device and weighs just 1 pound.

The Apple iPad event is live and the company has announced a brand new iPad called the iPad Air. The new tablet has a 43% thinner bezel and a thinner 7.2mm thickness, the iPad Air also has 5 MP iSight camera with dual microphones.
iPad air ships November 1st, in many countries across the world including China and hopefully India as well. The iPad Air also weighs just 1 pound which is .4 pounds lighter than the iPad 3 or iPad 4.

Apple today announced the 4th generation of the iPad. It comes with the A6x Chip which doubles the CPU performance and the graphics performance. The new device comes with Apple’s new lightning connector.
The 4th generation iPad comes with a next-generation ISP display, which means the screen is going to be even better than the current retina.

Talk about big bucks, while companies stubble to hit the million mark, Apple continues to show good results Quarter over Quarter. The new numbers rank in at US $ 39.2 Billion in Revenue for the company , with upwards of 30 million iPhones sold and 12 million iPads sold.
The new $12.30 earnings per share, compared to an estimated $10.04 earnings per share – adds up to $39.2 billion in revenue and $11.6 billion in profit. The iPhone sales show an 88% growth from the previous years quarter and the iPad sales show a whopping 151% increase over the last years same quarter.
The new iPad ( newest iPad? Newer iPad? what? ), also known as the 3rd generation iPad, was waiting for me in my office when i returned. What next, quick unboxing and hands on time of-course.

During the launch of Apple’s third-gen iPad, the company made huge claims about the performance of the new A5x chip, claiming that the A5X processor with quad-core graphics provided up to 4x the graphics performance of NVIDIA’s Tegra 3 chip and 2x the graphics performance of the iPad 2?s A5 chip.
Benchmark data shows the iPad 2?s A5 chip bettering both the A5X and Tegra 3 with the A5X’s improved graphics being used mostly to power the new iPad’s high-resolution Retina display of 3.1 million pixels.

Squaretrade is a US based product insurance company which demonstrates what happens to your devices if you drop them and don’t have insurance. Take a look at the new iPad being dropped from various heights and then compared to the iPad 2 going through the same torture. A minimum of 4 iPads were damaged in the process, oh the humanity!
New iPad owners on the MacRumors forums and Apple’s own support community complain that the iPad’s lower left corner is getting warm during extended use. As usual with all new Apple products things tend to go out of hand. So without wasting any time on the matter Apple has issued a statement on the matter.

The iPad is now confirmed to have 1 GB of RAM and an unchanged speed processor at 1GHz with now Quad Core Graphics.
The iPad 2 will now be available in a price dropped version of US $ 399 for WiFi only along with US $ 529 for WiFi + 3G. Bear in mind that now only the 16 GB version will be available and the rest of the sizes will be discontinued.
