According to freshly leaked images, it is instead the Redmi 8A which will be targeted towards the budget segment. Not long ago, we reported about the upcoming Redmi 8 whose images were revealed on TENAA. Freshly, the listing has been updated and detailed specifications of the smartphone have been revealed ahead of its official announcement. The key highlighting feature of the handset will be its mammoth 5,000 mAh lithium cell which will provide for a long battery backup.Redmi 8 Design and Features
According to the TENAA listing, the Redmi 8 measures 156.3 × 75.4 × 9.4 mm and its tips the scale at 190 g. The handset features a 6.2-inch display that has an HD+ resolution of 1520 x 720 px. Besides, the display has a waterdrop notch up top that houses an 8 MP selfie camera.
On the 16th of August, an upcoming Redmi branded smartphone with model number ‘M1908C3IC’ was listed on the Chinese regulatory website TENAA. While some new agencies claim that this is the Redmi Note 8, which was previously announced to launch soon, we feel that is not the case.
Instead, this could be the Redmi 8, the successor of the Redmi 7 which was launched in the month of March.
