There have been lots of rumours about the specs of Yutopia doing the rounds lately. Some of  the most interesting ones include the following:

Camera:

Facebook is back to building smartphones, and this time around its no ChaCha. According to the New York Times Bits blog, the company is hiring old Apple iPhone and iPad engineers and employees to develop phones exclusive to Facebook

With Facebook’s IPO now out, this unique move may actually help the company gain some movement, when they seem to be slowing down.

There are always many rumors when it comes to Apple devices, especially the iPhone. Recently we asked you guys if you would like the screen size of the iPhone to be different from the existing 3.5 inch which has started to seem puny in front of ever increasing competition.

While only 12% argued that the screen size remains perfect, 17% said if the larger screen could be fit in the same size it would be impressive. 15% said that since its an iPhone 5 it should have a 5 inch screen, another 15 % aimed for the 4.3-4.9 inch bracket.

Looks like Apple might bring a total of three new things to the Table this September. New iPhone 5, revised iPad 2 ( 3) and a totally new iPod 3g?. Yes you read it right, several sources including a dutch website claim that Apple will release a 3G iPod touch this year. Similar to the iPad , the iPod touch 3G will only be able to use the onboard radio for data connectivity and not to make phone calls. 

But we know there is always a work around for that, right?

According to a report by DigiTimes, a rumor around the supply chain in Taiwan is that Apple is going to adopt a curved cover glass for the iPhone 5.

Cover glass makers are reluctant to commit investment to the purchase of glass cutting equipment due to the high capital involved, said the sources. However, in order to push forward the production of curved glass, Apple reportedly has purchased 200-300 glass cutting machines to be used by glass makers, said the sources. The glass slicing machines are currently being stored at associated assembly plants and will be brought online once yield rates for the production [...]

According to Forbes, Nokia will use ST-Ericsson hardware to power at least some of its Windows Phones. The U8500 chipset is a Nokia loved dual core processor which will be housed within Windows Phone 7 handsets out of Nokia’s Stable.

According to several other reports the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset might also be one of the first few chipsets to be used by Nokia, Quickly to be followed by ST-U8500 for its powerhouse WP7 lineup in 2012-13.

Vietnamese site tinhte.vn has posted a video of what they claim is the next-gen iPhone. This time around the White version will be  available straight out , the iPhone demonstrated in the videos below is a factory white iPhone with a storage of 64 GB. It is also running the new build of iOS on it (Test build 8A216).

The few other things include direct Facebook integration, as opposed to being an app in the current version. Dragging apps to create folders also shows us a brief look at a redesigned folder UI, the multitasking has been redesigned to resemble the Mac OS Expose’.

The leaked HTC Pyramid we saw earlier may now be called the HTC Sensation and may possibly launch at the event mentioned in the invite below, this device could be anything from a 1.2 GHZ dual core device to a GSM version of the EVO 3D, we wont know until we know. So we will let you know!

As we reported earlier HERE . Several different sources are confirming that RIM may just be ready to bring the BBM goodness to the iOS and Android operating systems. It will come as a messaging only app and not the full featured messenger on the Blackberry itself, But, it gives an end to the long awaited interconnectivity b/w BB folks and Apple Lovers. The Android version should be out in the near future, or within this year atleast. The iOS version may depend on how Apple approval system looks at the whole interface in the first place.
