How much more will a gig of extra RAM Cost? By how much will it effectively make the tablet user experience better? Could you please ask these 2 questions the next time when you attend a product launch?

UMI X2 IS IT AVAILABLE IN INDIAN MARKETS? A REVIEW

assuming its based on ARM 7 architecture it shouldn't be very difficult to increase ram up to 4gb, so i guess it should only be because they want to control the price

I've been wondering the same thing. None of the local manufacturers have included a 2gb ram in their devices which is a disappointment considering that a 2gb ram has pretty much become a standard with international brands now.

Chinese devices like UMI X2 amongst others provide a full HD screen, 32 gb of storage and 2gb of ram at around 12k. So it's possible for Micromax to atleast offer 2 gigs at 18k atleast!!

4gb is not possible, its the same thing like in pc , it requires 64bit processor to run more than 3 gb ram
