Since Redmi has parted ways with Xiaomi, it has only brought two smartphones to the market, which are the Redmi Note 7 and the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Both devices are priced budget-aggressively which have received their fair share of quality reviews from consumers. Redmi is now looking towards expanding their product lineup. Recent leaks suggest that the Chinese company is working on another smartphone, which has a front pop-up camera and a rear triple camera setup.

As per the leaks, the smartphone features the newly launched Snapdragon 730 chipset, which is the also present in the recently released Samsung Galaxy A80. The SoC was launched by Qualcomm on April 9, 2019, and comprises of an octa-core Kryo 470 CPU, which is clocked at 2.2 GHz and the Adreno 618 GPU chip. Another notable aspect of the leak was the presence of a 4000 mAh battery in the device. The chipset has support for Quick Charge 4+ technology, which implies that the Redmi smartphone is likely to support fast charging.
