Redmi separated from its parent company Xiaomi to exist as an independent brand back in the month of January. It also announced a while ago that a flagship smartphone from the Redmi brand will release this year. Fresh leaks on Chinese social networking website Weibo have revealed what the specifications of the aforementioned device may be and when it will launch. Unfortunately, it does not mention what the smartphone will be called.
Redmi’s Flagship Smartphone

According to the leak, the smartphone will be the most powerful Redmi has ever made. It will have an all-glass design similar to the Redmi Note 7 Pro, complete with a gradient back and Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It will have a 6.4 inch AMOLED display with a FullHD+ resolution and is expected to have minimal bezels on all sides with a waterdrop notch on the top. For biometrics and security, the device will have an in-display fingerprint scanner with support for face unlock technology.

The leak claims that the flagship smartphone from Redmi will run on the 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC. The chipset has an Octa-core CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. In terms of optics, the device will have a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor like the Note 7 Pro; combined with an 8MP and a 13MP sensor. For selfies, it will have a 32MP sensor housed in the notch on top of the display. The smartphone will feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage for the base model.

Reports further insinuate that the Redmi flagship will be powered by a 4000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. It is expected to run on the latest MIUI 10 based on top of current Android 9 Pie. The leak reveals the device will be priced starting CNY 2499 (Rs. 25,600). It may be available starting the month of May in China with an India launch expected soon after.

Under the hood, the Honor 20 will pack a 7nm Kirin 980 chipset, which consists of an octa-core Cortex CPU and the Mali-G76 GPU. In terms of memory, leaks suggest that the smartphone will be offered in 3 different configurations: 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. The device is expected to be powered by a 3,650 mAh battery with 22.5W SuperCharge technology.

Similar to other mainstream subscription services, Apple News Plus aims to provide paid readable content from different magazines to its premium users, who will pay a monthly fee. Both the laptops have the option of choosing between an illuminated chiclet keyboard or a non-illuminated one. The FX305 and the SX505 have 2W speakers with array microphones to improve sound capturing while streaming. The laptops also have an HD 720p webcam for video calling and streaming. Noteworthy, the FX505 has a 3-cell 48 Wh battery, whereas the FX705 has a 4-cell 64 Wh battery. The gaming laptops meet military-grade MIL-STD-810G standards, which renders them tougher as compared to similarly priced laptops.
