Call Of Duty Modern Warfare Gets Multiplayer Mode

A couple of months ago, Activision the publisher behind the famous Call of Duty franchise announced its latest iterations. The new game is being called Call of Duty Modern Warfare which is a reboot of the original trilogy that was beloved by gamers. The original trailer that was revealed had seen the return of the series favourite Captain Price. Since then, a lot of hype has garnered for what people call, ” the game that will revive the Call of Duty games again.”

Now, Infinity Ward, the original developer behind one of the most popular first-person shooter game has dropped a new trailer and unveiled a new multiplayer game mode.

    Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Call of Duty Modern Warfare is a boots to the ground iteration of the popular franchise. It means that the game will no longer have its premise based on either the second World War or some sci-fi futuristic world; a theme common with the past iterations of the video game. The latest entry in the series will rather focus on the ‘Ugly Truth’ of war. A primary focus of the game will be the implications of global violence, terrorism as well as personal impact on the characters. Players are no longer simply in the shoes of a badass military character, but one with emotional depth and a sense of morality.

    Multiplayer: Gunfight

The first trailer for Call of Duty Modern Warfare arrived on 30th May and revealed the first look of the game in all its glory. Now, Infinity Ward has uploaded the first look of its new multiplayer game mode on YouTube. Gunfight is the latest game mode to be incorporated in the game and will feature a 2 versus 2 man quick play style of gameplay. Team of 2s need to eliminate the enemy teams to win a round and the first to 6 wins the game. The game features small maps that are long in length but narrow in width. It’s a symmetrical map with both teams spawning on either end; players have about 3 routes from which they can attack the opposing team.

We get dirty, so that the World stays clean

Activision’s vision of a game closer to reality has never looked so good, as showcased in the latest Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reveal trailer that was released on May 30, 2019. The franchise can be deemed nothing less than legendary, and while the reviews of the previous iterations of the game have been dwindling in quality, Modern Warfare aims to take the player back to the roots.

Call of Duty: Modern WarfareThe trailer is centred around the ‘golden’ CoD character, Captain John Price, who is one of the more prominent faces of the franchise. The trailer showcases scenarios that are heavily relatable to the current state of the world in some cases. Terrorism and bio-chemical wars are just two of the threats that were poised in the trailer.

Call of Duty: Modern WarfareOne significant fact is the return of the original developers, Infinity Ward  back to the franchise. As per reports, the core developer and design teams working on the game (including developers from Naughty Dog) are focusing on the emotional impact that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare can have on the players. Infinity Ward co-head stated that the story designers will aim to be sensitive and edgy at the same time. The trailer further reveals that the storyline of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare can be experienced from two separate perspectives. The player can play as a lethal Tier-1 Marine with a complete set of weapons and equipment, or he can play as a freedom fighter in the Middle-eastern region. • Call Of Duty: WWII Story Trailer Released

Call Of Duty: WWII Story Trailer Released

The Call Of Duty: WWII story trailer was released and it features blood, gunshots, explosions and the spoils of war. The game is played against the Nazis and the Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey said in May that the new CoD will not give players the opportunity to view the war from the German perspective. Talking about the narrative and the storytelling of the new game, Michael Condrey said,

We’re storytellers, part of that narrative is having fans really be able to experience that for themselves. We don’t want to get into mass graves or things like that. I don’t want to get into the full narrative arc, but suffice it to say there is a flux in human history because of the power of those atrocities committed and we want to tell the whole story.

Publisher of the new Call Of Duty: WWII, Activision said:

Call of Duty: WWII tells the story of Private Ronald ‘Red’ Daniels, a young recruit in the U.S. First Infantry Division who experiences combat for the first time on D-Day, one of the largest amphibious assaults in history. After surviving the beaches of Normandy, Red and his squad will fight their way across Europe, engaging the enemy in iconic battle locations such as the Hürtgen Forest and the Battle of the Bulge, as they make their way into Germany.

The trailer reveals young men in the middle of a war in foreign territory and the aftermath of the war of that scale. There’s no first-person gameplay shown in the trailer, instead, the trailer focuses on the characters, highlighting the facial capture work done to harness their likenesses and performances. While the trailer doesn’t show Nazi concentration camps, it does show trains rounding up Jews. The emphasis on the Nazis being the villain is also quite evident in the trailer. The main villain has a big scar across his face making him visually more unpleasant.

Call of Duty: WWII will be out on November 3. A multiplayer beta is set to be released for PC on September 29. The game will be released for the following platforms:

    • PS4
    • Xbox
    • PC

The story follows a team of black ops soldiers with supersoldier capabilities. And yes, the game will also feature a zombie mode as well.
