HTC has already begun to roll out ICS updates for their Global and unlocked flagship devices the Sensation and Sensation XE. Now the update may not be available to all immediately, But HTC has assured the owners that the update will be broadly available within the coming days.

HTC has just updated their Facebook to announce its ICS rollout plan. ICS or Ice Cream Sandwich is the most anticipated Android update since android Froyo. it brings a whole host of changes to the table, and it will be interesting to see how HTC updates their Sense UI to add to ICS. HTC has launched the mammoth Sensation XL in India, kind of like HTC’s answer to the Note. The device has a 4.7 inch SLCD display with Android 2.3 and newly acquired Beats by Dre Audio. HTC has finally intro’d the long rumored HTC Sensation XE, the new smartphone will have a revamped 1.5 GHz processor and beats audio. Now the unit itself essentially is the same with a qHD display (540 X 960) resolution and boasts a larger 1730mAh battery.
This Special edition unit will come with a set of Beats by DRE Headphones and 8/16GB microSD cards and a remote control that allows audio track management. The Sensation XE is slated to launch in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East sometime this month. So you can expect the device to hit our Review labs sooner than later.
According to CNET, HTC is planning a revised Special Edition of its Android powerhouse the Sensation to include Beats technology along with a bumped up spec list. Major changes include a 1.5GHz processor along with 4GB onboard storage. Like a few other devices from competition namely here this phone will be aimed at the Asian markets.

HTC CEO Peter Chou updated the firm’s Facebook page to explain the deal for the bootloader unlock process for HTC devices. HTC will give you freedom to unlock the bootloader provided you are aware of the fact that “all or parts” of your warranty may be null and void.

HTC has confirmed via their official Facebook fan page that they will start unlocking bootloaders in their popular phones come August. On the List is the HTC Sensation (global – yes the one in India) along with Sensation 4G on T-Mobile and the EVO 3D on Sprint.
HTC wont stop there and says that it will continue to provide unlocking capabilities to other devices as time progresses.
