In a strange turn of events, we’re hearing that Japan will be receiving Samsung’s newest flagship – the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge without the company logo. These handsets will instead be dubbed as Docomo Galaxy and au Galaxy, with respect to the associated Japanese telecom service provider. The company has also renamed its Japanese Facebook page to Galaxy Mobile Japan.

Sony Has awarded PS certification to the Xperia Arc and never seen outside Japan- Arco. These are the only other two phones apart from the Xperia Play to win the Sony playstation certification. These phones will now be able to access and download PS certified games from the Sony-Android Marketplace which was earlier limited to the Xperia Play.

Nendo, a Japanese company has designed a USB pen drive in the shape of a paper clip for Elecom. The design is supposed to define a new relationship between physical and digital media. It can be used as a standard paper clip to keep papers and files organized.
Japanese company Global Wave, has come up with a technology that can convert a 2D display into a 3D display. They have developed a film that can be stuck onto any display, which allows you to enjoy 3D content. The film works on all devices including smartphones, Monitors and even the iPhone and iPad.
The film is called the Pic3D and is based on a lenticular lens system which basically creates 2 serperate images, one for the left eye and one for the right, at slightly different perspectives, which creates the illusion of depth. The Kobe based Riken Advanced Institute For Computational Science has a supercomputer capable of 8.16 petaflops of computational power, which has reclaimed the #1 spot in the Top 500 list. The new machine has handsomely widened the gap from the now #2 Chinese Tianhe 1A which delivers almost a quarter of the computational capacity at 2.57 petaflops.
