Xiaomi’s Foldable Phone
Xiaomi’s co-founder, Lin Pin shared a video of a foldable smartphone on a Chinese social media platform, Weibo. This device in the video is similar to the foldable Xioami phone that was previously leaked on Twitter. The video demonstrates a portable electronic device that has a large screen with minimal bezels on either side.
The company executive can be seen navigating through applications on the touch screen of the device that looks quite responsive. Unlike the Samsung Galaxy F, the screen on the Xiaomi device folds backwards from both the left and right sides. The device when in its folded state looks handy and easily pocketable.
Price And Launch Date
Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not announced the launch date of the foldable smartphone. But the short demonstration in the video indicates that the device is ready and the company can launch it soon. Xiaomi might showcase this device at the upcoming MWC 2019 which is scheduled for 25-29 February. The price of the device is currently unknown, however, past events suggest that Xiaomi will price it lesser than its competitors. For reference, the Samsung Galaxy F will reportedly cost US $ 1800.
