The Samsung Galaxy Tab has been an elusive device from Samsung. We first got our hands on with the tablet at the Samsung forum earlier this year, where the device was officially announced.
Now that the Tablet was fully launched in India, we finally got a chance to grab hold of ours and here it is. in all its glory.The device runs on a dual core 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, with a 7000mah battery which should be powerful enough with ample juice for hours of usage.

Some great news for those waiting in for the Galaxy Players / PMPs running Android and boasting a 5 inch/4 inch screens, the devices will be available along with the Galaxy 730 aka Galaxy Tab 8.9 inch in the last week of october. This information comes from the very depths of the Samsung HQ in NCRand packs a punch especially because there is a tad bit of information regarding the pricing on the PMPs.

Viewsonic is taking its tablet business seriously, and has announced the impending launch of three new tablets – The ViewPad 7x, ViewPad 10 Pro and the budget friendly ViewPad 7e.
The ViewPad 10 Pro runs Android 2.3 and Windows 7 and will be available from September 5th at €499 (INR 35000) for the WiFi only version.
The ViewPad 7x is a 7 inch tablet and will run Honeycomb with custom, 3D ViewScene skin. It has 8GB onboard, Tegra 2-chipset, launching this month for €349 (INR 25000) The Budget 7e will have a price tab of €169 (INR 12000) , a 7 inch screen a single core [...]
Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S2 and Tab 8.9 with LTE. Both devices are sporting an updated dual-core processor running at 1.5GHz, while the S II is also getting a size bump and moving up to a 4.5-inch screen. Leak after leak is just simple proof that the device is coming soon, the HTC Puccini is no secret to the interwebs. Now pocketnow has got some more screens of a device set to be launched on AT&T networks in the US and will be dubbed “Jetstream”. Three major specs include

Not only is the tablet thin and light its easy to use, says the video demo. Demonstrating the new multitasking features and the dedicated multitask button, makes us wonder why other companies haven’t thought of it.
It is also the first tablet to have individual speakers of either side, full stereo sound. Samsung sneakily also shows off the dock in the video, which makes the device, that tad bit more special.
Its one of those things that takes time to reach its prime potential. Tablets were introduced in 2010 and primarily a couple of brands ruled the market. With the iPad eating the largest slice of the market share, Android tablets started to pour in by the second half of 2010.
The Original 7 inch Galaxy tab was the first true Android tablet to be launched in India. While it filled a major void that was left in the market due to the unavailability of the iPad, people were not quite ready for a switch to tablets and the tablets weren’t quite ready for human consumption.

HTC’s upcoming tablet the Puccini had earlier been leaked from the outside, now its time for screenshots to leak out. HTC is taking advantage of the 1280×800 resolution by tacking a number pad onto the keyboard; tabbed browsing also benefits from the increased real estate versus seven-inch models.
PocketNow estimates that the device will ship by the end of this year during the holiday season.

The devices are also preloaded with text and syllabus for the academic year, including the ability to purchase books and check grades.
Initially only a 1000 tabs were given away to students in the Honors College, McNair Scholars, Southern Style, and Gulf Coast programs.
Now thats a way to motivate the students, maybe the Indian universities should take some inspiration from this. Although it appears that the devices were sponsored [...]
