Remember when the first generation iPhones arrived in India, they had to be jailbroken (unlocked) to make them accessible to the networks here. Till recently this process was illegal. But yesterday President Obama made it legal by signing the “Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act” (S.517) into law.
This will make it a lot easier for consumers who want to change their service providers while keeping their own phones. Looks like we finally have confirmation that the Galaxy Nexus Prime and the Ice Cream Sandwich release, which were earlier to be released on the 11th of Oct will now be released on the 19th of Oct 2011. The event has been moved to the 19th and some are speculating that despite Google and Samsung used Steve Jobs’ passing as an excuse the real reason was their FCC clearance delays.
Either way we will have more on this shorty, and expect full coverage during launch time.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab has been an elusive device from Samsung. We first got our hands on with the tablet at the Samsung forum earlier this year, where the device was officially announced.
Now that the Tablet was fully launched in India, we finally got a chance to grab hold of ours and here it is. in all its glory.The device runs on a dual core 1 GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, with a 7000mah battery which should be powerful enough with ample juice for hours of usage.

Some great news for those waiting in for the Galaxy Players / PMPs running Android and boasting a 5 inch/4 inch screens, the devices will be available along with the Galaxy 730 aka Galaxy Tab 8.9 inch in the last week of october. This information comes from the very depths of the Samsung HQ in NCRand packs a punch especially because there is a tad bit of information regarding the pricing on the PMPs.

Samsung’s latest tablet is getting all the attention it deserves, the company has now made a full demo of the User Interface walkthrough.Â
Not only is the tablet thin and light its easy to use, says the video demo. Demonstrating the new multitasking features and the dedicated multitask button, makes us wonder why other companies haven’t thought of it.Â
It is also the first tablet to have individual speakers of either side, full stereo sound. Samsung sneakily also shows off the dock in the video, which makes the device, that tad bit more special.
Its one of those things that takes time to reach its prime potential. Tablets were introduced in 2010 and primarily a couple of brands ruled the market. With the iPad eating the largest slice of the market share, Android tablets started to pour in by the second half of 2010.
The Original 7 inch Galaxy tab was the first true Android tablet to be launched in India. While it filled a major void that was left in the market due to the unavailability of the iPad, people were not quite ready for a switch to tablets and the tablets weren’t quite ready for human consumption.

HTC has just announced the new HTC HD7s, A successor to the HD7 which has only a minor improvement in tow, which actually turns out to be a major improvement. The HD7s adds a Super LCD to the mix making the display even more eye-friendly and much better in drastic situations. Thic change will also improve the battery life of the unit and make using the device a better experience.
Our Sources at HTC India say this device will hit as a quiet Update in June-July 2011 in India. Pricing Similar to the existing model is expected.
