Honor 20 Pro Specifications Leaked, To Have A Triple Camera Setup
Honor, a subsidiary of Huawei launched its current flagship smartphone, the Honor 10 last year. The device offered top tier specifications at a lower price than the competition. Fresh leaks suggest the company is planning to launch a new flagship smartphone reportedly called the Honor 20 Pro which might launch soon. In addition to the Pro variant, the company is also assumed to launch a standard variant of the Honor 20 which was leaked previously.

The Honor 20 Pro will be the newest flagship smartphone by the company. It is expected to have the same design language as its predecessor, complete with glass on the front and back with a metal chassis. The leak reveals it will have a 6.1 inch OLED display with a FullHD+ resolution. To keep the screen to body ratio as high as possible, the device will have a waterdrop notch on the top of the display. For biometrics and security, the handset will have an in-display fingerprint sensor with support for face unlock technology.

The leak further insinuates Honor 20 Pro will be kitted with the 7nm Kirin 980 SoC. The chipset has an Octa-core CPU and Mali G76 GPU. In terms of optics, the smartphone will have a triple rear camera setup. It will consist of a 48MP sensor, combined with a 20MP ultra-wide angle sensor and an 8MP telephoto sensor. For selfies, the device will have a 32MP camera housed in the notch on the top of the display. In terms of memory and storage, the Honor 20 Pro will be available in the following variants.

The latest leak of the Honor 20 Pro claims it may be launched on the 25th of April. Pricing of the smartphone will start at CNY 2999 (Rs. 31,000) for the version with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB onboard memory will cost CNY 3399 (Rs. 35,200). Top end variant of the device with 8GB RAM and 256GB of internal storage will retail at CNY 3799 (Rs. 39,400).

Google Store Accidentally Leaks The Upcoming Pixel 3a Smartphone Duo

It has been leaked time and again that Google will release a watered down version of its Pixel 3 smartphones this year. The devices were allegedly called Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. While there was no official confirmation from the company about the same, that changes now. Fresh listing on Google’s website lists the Pixel 3a lineup. This suggests the handsets are closer to launch than ever.

The Pixel 3a lineup will be Googles mid-range offering. The smartphones have been previously leaked to sport a design that is reminiscent of their elder siblings. However, the material of choice is expected to be polycarbonate instead of metal and glass on the Pixel 3 & 3 XL. The front is expected to sport a 5.6-inch OLED display on the Pixel 3a while the Pixel 3a XL will have a 6 inch OLED display. For biometrics and security, the devices will have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the Pixel 3a and 3a XL are expected to be kitted with the 10nm Snapdragon 670 SoC. The chipset has an Octa-core processor and Adreno 612 GPU. In terms of memory and storage, the devices are expected to have 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of onboard storage.

Past leaks suggest that the Pixel 3a smartphone duo will be powered by a 3000mAh battery with support for fast charging. Being Pixel devices, they are expected to run on the current Android 9 Pie with a stock interface and receive fast software updates. The leaked images also confirm the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack on at least one of the two devices.

Galaxy A90 Specifications Leak Online, Reveals Triple Camera Setup

Samsung is expected to launch three new smartphones under the Galaxy A lineup on April 10. The highlight of the event will be the alleged Galaxy A90. According to previous leaks and speculations, it will have a bezel less screen with no notch or hole punch in sight. In a fresh leak on Chinese social networking website Weibo, a user has listed what could be the specifications of the upcoming Galaxy A90. The leak claims the smartphone will be launched as the A80 in China.

The leak claims the design of the Galaxy A90 will provide users with a refreshing feeling when held. According to the post, it will measure 76.5 x 165.0 x 9.0mm and will weigh 219g. The smartphone features a 6.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 px. As mentioned above, there will be minimal to no bezels around the display. Samsung is expected to use a New Infinity display for the device. For biometrics and security, the handset will have an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The leak alleges Galaxy A90 runs on the Snapdragon 7150 Octa-core SoC. This chipset is unannounced as of yet and is speculated to be an upgrade over the Snapdragon 710/712. The highlight of the smartphone is expected to be its camera mechanism. It will feature a triple camera setup, consisting of an f/2.0 aperture equipped 48MP sensor; combined with an f/2.4 aperture equipped 8MP sensor and a tertiary Time of Flight (ToF) sensor. Apart from the primary camera, one of the other sensors can be an ultrawide sensor, whereas the third could be a telephoto lens. The upcoming iPhone is expected to feature Apple’s latest chip and an improved battery upgrade. Motorola launched the P30 series of smartphones in China last year which include the standard P30 and the P30 Note. Reportedly the company is working on their successors which include the P40 and P40 Note. A fresh leak claims that in addition to the aforementioned smartphones, Moto plans to launch a less feature-rich smartphone, the P40 Play. The HD renders and video of the handset have been leaked by a notable tipster, onLeaks. Therefore, the plausibility of this turning out true is considerably high.

The front of the Moto P40 accommodates a 5.6 inch display that has a waterdrop notch up top. Notably, the bezels surrounding its display are quite prominent which is mainly due to its affordable price tag. The handset measures 147.7 x 71.5 x 9.2 mm while the details about its weight are unavailable.

The right side of the Moto P40 is occupied by the power button and the volume rockers while the left side is occupied by the SIM card slot. The micro-USB port for charging and data transfer is placed on the bottom while the 3.5 mm audio jack is placed on the top. Apple May Release The iPhone XE With A 4.8 Inch Display This Year

In an era where innovations are happening faster than any of us can fathom, Oppo is trying out an entirely different concept for its future smartphones. While this may initially seem non-significant to some people, Oppo might have something special in store here. The Chinese technology company has patented two mobile phone models, and no, they are not any sort of foldable devices.

About The Patent

WIPO (World Intelectual Property Organization) published the patent on January 29, 2019. The patent originated from Guangdong Oppo Mobile Telecommunications, and it contained information regarding an “Electronic Device with a display panel”. The company that introduced one of the first pop-up camera modules in the market has now patented two new designs, one of which is a pop-up display design. That is right, the smartphone has a second display that pops out of the primary display. It may seem like an idea that no one has thought of previously, but Oppo has already put it on paper. And the design may have some really helpful functionalities.

Pop-Up Display Smartphone

The first design is that of a pop-up display, and it is very similar to a pop-up camera’s mechanism, except the fact that instead of a camera, a screen pops out. Obviously, the second display is much slimmer and narrower than the main display of the device, and for the same reason, it has almost one-third the height of the primary display. Seemingly, a telescopic mechanism helps the second narrower display to pop out of the device. Where some people may argue that it is a useless feature, it may actually be beneficial for those who multitask a lot and use the keyboard in the portrait mode.

Side-Sliding Display Smartphone

The second design is also aesthetically pleasing. As per images, the screen does not pop up from the top, instead, a second screen slides towards the left using a guide rail mechanism. This design may remind a lot of users of the HTC Desire Z device, which was released in September 2010, almost a decade ago. The design was very convenient for people who were used to conventional QWERTY typing at that time. Now, when QWERTY keyboards are literally the standard, slider phones may make a comeback soon, albeit without the physical buttons.

Both the patented designs house the camera module and the earpiece in the top bezel, which is seemingly very narrow. The notchless design seen in the patent images is very pleasing to look at. Samsung has been on a smartphone launching frenzy in the year 2019, as it has unveiled some really competitive handsets in the market so far. The Korean Technology company is planning to release yet another premium mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy A90 which is expected to launch at an event in April. A trademark filing which was spotted at EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) reveals that the smartphone may have the “Triple Intellicam” feature, which will drastically change how lighting conditions affect photographs.

“Intellicam” was a term that was first associated with the Galaxy A8 Star, which was released in June 2018. The A8 Star was the first Galaxy device that had a “Dual Intellicam”, which automatically adapted its settings as per the lighting conditions, enabling the user to capture well-lit images. Consequently, the “Triple Intellicam” is expected to function on the same lines of the “Dual Intellicam” with enhanced capabilities.

Samsung has always been innovative from the perspective of smartphone cameras, and the company is not looking to disappoint here. “Triple Intellicam” may use AI optimization to capture images in low light and very high light, just like Scene Optimizer in Samsung’s high-end devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S10. It is known that the aforementioned chipset is one of the best SoCs in the market as of now. The alleged ZenFone 6 registers an impressive score of 363172 points on AnTuTu. Similar to their Chinese competitors, these handsets offer competitive specifications at a lucrative price. Fresh leaks have revealed a new smartphone in the Galaxy A lineup. Called the Galaxy A20e, it was spotted when it got certified through the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

For biometrics and security, the device will have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor with support for face unlock technology. As the handset sports an ‘e’ moniker in the name, it is expected to be a specced down variant of the Galaxy A20, like the Galaxy S10e. However, it could just be a country-specific variant of its sibling.

The Galaxy A20e is expected to run on the Exynos 7884 SoC which consists of an Octa-core CPU. This is the same processor also used in the Galaxy A20. Leaked images reveal the device has a dual rear camera setup, details of which are unknown as of now. For selfies, a 5MP camera is also expected to be housed in the Infinity V notch on top of the display. In terms of memory and storage, the smartphone might pack 2GB of RAM and 32GB of Internal Storage.

The images revealed show a differently designed smartphone from the Nokia X71. It has an all-glass design on the front and back with a metal chassis. Front of the handset is dominated by the display which is expected to be a 6.4-inch panel with FullHD+ resolution. To attain a high screen to body ratio, the company has used a punch hole cutout on the top left of the display. For biometrics and security, the Nokia 8.1 Plus has been revealed to have an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Under the hood, the Nokia 8.1 Plus is expected to run on the 10nm Snapdragon 712 SoC. The chipset has an Octa-core CPU and Adreno 616 GPU. In terms of optics, the smartphone will have a triple rear camera setup, details of which are unknown at the moment. The selfie camera, expected to be a 16MP sensor housed in the punch hole cutout on the top of the display. For memory and storage, the Nokia 8.1 Plus will reportedly launch with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage.

The user manual of the Nokia 8.1 Plus reveals the smartphone will have a USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing. The images also reveal it will retain the 3.5mm headphone jack and will support dual SIM via the Hybrid SIM card slot. Like all the global variants of Nokia handsets, the 8.1 Plus might also run on Android 9 Pie with Android One certification on board. This means that it will run a clean version of AndroidOS with guaranteed software updates for at least two years.

The leaked renders and user manual of the Nokia 8.1 Plus insinuate that the launch of the smartphone is imminent. Unfortunately, there is no information regarding the price of the device. But reports claim it will be priced around Rs. 29,999 in India.

Google’s SVP Teases Unreleased Smartphone, May Be The Pixel 3a

With the shroud of mystery surrounding Google’s upcoming devices, rumours and leaks have revealed a lot of information regarding them. Reportedly, the company is planning to launch less feature rich variants of the Pixel 3 Series, which are alleged to be the Pixel 3a and the Pixel 3a XL . Both the aforementioned smartphones are expected to be launched in the month of May. On March 30, 2019, Hiroshi Lockheimer, Google’s Senior Vice President of Android teased images from an unreleased phone on Twitter, which indicates that the company is in deed planning to unveil the new smartphones soon.

As per the post, the SVP clicked some images of Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard’s Office (Founders of HP) with a phone that is “unreleased”, and therefore, wasn’t mentioned in the post. Even though fans and customers have a pretty good idea regarding the device, nothing can be said for sure until the Company makes an official announcement. However, the smartphones may make an appearance on Google’s IO 2019 conference, which is scheduled from May 7 to May 9 in California.

Expected Specifications

The toned down Pixel devices are expected to be launched without a notch, especially after Pixel 3 received its fair share of negative reviews regarding the notch. Where the Pixel 3 devices sported metal and glass bodies, the Pixel 3a series are expected to be made out of Polycarbonate plastic in order to reduce the price point of the smartphones. Furthermore, the devices may feature the Snapdragon 670 or 710 SoC and a toned down display from the Pixel 3 and 3XL.

The Pixel 3a series may have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage for the base variants. The devices are expected to sport an OLED display with Full HD+ resolution. It will be interesting to see how Google works with the camera on the devices, however, it is speculated that both the devices will feature a 12MP rear camera with an 8MP front camera. The Pixel smartphones may also include a 3.5mm headphone jack. Exact pricing of the devices is unknown yet, but they are likely to be priced under US$ 450 and US$ 550 for the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL respectively.
