Panasonic hasn’t refreshed its premium smartphone range from quite a while, but the Japanese firm is now retrieving the lost position, catching up with high-end offerings by other brands. The consumer electronics giant gained some spotlight with the launch of Lumix DCM-CM1 in the US, introduced last year in September. The CM1 is a smartphone/mirrorless camera encompassing some of the best features of camera and smartphone. The device is priced at a whopping $1,000 (approximately Rs. 64,300), more than the high-end phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 128GB and iPhone 6.
Panasonic’s new range of products may hold more interest for adventure seekers and mountaineers. The company today has launched two Toughpads and a semi-rugged Toughbook, an expansion of Panasonic’s Toughpad line. The company states that a growing number of organizations see value in a device that boosts employee productivity by expanding the concept of the workspace, allowing tablets or laptop users to do more while on the go between meeting rooms, job sites or office locations.

Panasonic has just added another smartphone called Eluga I. The company has announced that the new Eluga smartphone will come bundled with a free screen guard and a flip cover. The Panasonic Eluga I has already gone on sale via an online retailer ahead of the company’s official announcement. Panasonic has recently introduced its new Eluga U flagship in India at an event in New Delhi. The smartphone has been priced at Rs. 18,990. Competing against the likes of the Xiaomi Mi 3 and the Micromax Canvas Knight, who also belong in this price range.

Panasonic launches a new product to its LUMIX Digital Single Lens Mirrorless cameras. The new DMC-GM1 is a sleek camera with large Digital Live MOS Sensor based on the Micro Four Thirds system standard.
The GM1 is small in size and features a 16-megapixel sensor along with a a 3-inch tilting LCD. Panasonic has unveiled two new smartphones, the P11 and T11, these devices are available on online websites. The Panasonic T11 is priced at Rs. 9,520 and the Panasonic P11 is priced at Rs. 16,364.

Panasonic Corp is considering exiting from the plasma screen market as part of a major restructuring over the next three years, a news report said Monday.
The embattled consumer electronics producer plans to terminate production of plasma panels at its main plant in the western Japanese city of Amagasaki around the financial year starting in April 2014, the Nikkei business daily reported without citing any sources.
