The Mi Band 4 is expected to be a significant upgrade over its predecessor. The listing mentions the presence of Bluetooth v5.0 Low Energy, which is an upgrade over the v4.2 Low Energy found on the Mi Band 3. This change suggests better connectivity on the new fitness band by Xiaomi. Unfortunately, other details about the wearable device aren’t available yet, but going by the company’s track record, It may feature a bigger display than the 0.78 OLED touchscreen display found in the previous version.
The listing also mentions NFC in the name of the Mi Band 4, so the fitness band may have the connectivity feature built in. However, the NFC variant may only be released in certain global markets. Another new addition on the band is expected to be better and more expansive fitness tracking capabilities. The fitness band is reported to have Electrocardiogram (ECG) capabilities like the one found in Apple Watch Series 4. But unlike the Apple Watch, the fitness band from Xiaomi might have a limited ECG functionality owing to its affordability.
