According to the tipster on Twitter, the upcoming Galaxy Tab S6 from Samsung will measure 244.5 x 159.5 x 5.7mm and weigh 420g. The images shared reveal it will have a similar design to its predecessor with a metal design. While the screen size is not known, it has been revealed to have an AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 px. The tablet will have a dual rear camera setup, something that is unique in the category. In terms of optics, there may be an f/2.0 aperture equipped 13MP primary sensor, coupled with an f/2.2 aperture equipped 5MP wide-angle sensor. For selfies, the device will have an f/2.0 aperture equipped 8MP camera on the top of the display.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will be kitted with the 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC. The chipset is comprised of an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 640 GPU. The device is rumoured to be powered by a 7040mAh battery with support for fast charging. Along with the tablet, a dedicated S-Pen stylus is also expected to be bundled in the retail box. This accessory will have a dedicated space on the back of the tablet, where it will be attached magnetically.
The tipster has also revealed some of the features that the upcoming Galaxy Tab S6 will sport. One of them is facial recognition, which is expected to be a secure way of logging in to the device using facial detection. Another feature expected in the tablet is called Air Mouse. This may turn the S Pen into a standard mouse. While the feature sounds useful, the tipster claims it consumes a lot of battery. Unfortunately, more details about the tablet are not known yet. But the Galaxy Tab S6 is expected to be unveiled on the August 7 Galaxy Unpacked event, we may not have to wait to find out more.
