However, A new report seems to claim that the release of the upcoming Apple MacBook Pro is actually right around the corner. The launch is expected to be set somewhere in September.

Analysts at IHS Markit have reported that the 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro will be unveiled in September alongside its speculated specifications. The latest laptop will feature the new display size and high end CPU along with Catalina MacOS. An OLED panel is being skipped over for an LCD screen which will feature a resolution of 3072x1920px.

Apple had refreshed the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro back in May and is also expected to update the laptops with the latest MacOS Catalina. The update would also go with an update to new processors as well. The 16-inch Apple MacBook Pro could potentially sport a high-end processor, such as the H series Intel Core Processor, i9-9980HK. This octa-core processor is already available in the refreshed May 2019 15-inch MacBook Pro.

Notably, the upcoming Apple MacBook Pro could feature a more powerful GPU in comparison to the May refreshed iterations. The older versions have a Radeon Pro Vega 20 graphics with 4GB of HBM2 memory, while the latest laptop might utilize AMD’s latest Radeon RDNA capable integrated graphics processors. Apple Downsizing Production In China

Tensions between the US and China regarding trade have had implications on a global scale. Due to the uneven ground between Washington and Beijing, the company is looking to shift a part of its entire production from the southeastern nation. Apple TV Will Gain Picture In Picture Functionality With Upcoming Update

Earlier this month, Apple held the WWDC event where it showcased the latest software versions for its consumer devices (1,2). Subsequently, the company has rolled out a developer’s beta update for the Apple TV which is reported to have a brand new feature. A Twitter user who goes by the username Nikolaj Hansen-Turton discovered that the with the latest beta update, the Apple TV has gained the functionality of Picture-in-Picture or PiP.

Several publications took notice of the Tweet and ran news covering the update. However, at the time, it was unclear whether it is a full fledged PiP function or just a smaller window of the video player which can be displayed while navigating through Apple TVs UI. Reports since then have claimed that the feature will allow users to stream two shows simultaneously. Though, there are some limitations of the feature.

Picture in Picture support will be limited for the content that is provided by Apple. This includes content which is purchased through iTunes, inbuilt Apple TV channels and the Apple TV+ service which will roll out later this year. The list of premium add on channels offered by Apple TV include HBO, Starz, Showtime, EPIX, Tastemade, and Smithsonian Channel.

To further clarify, if a user subscribes to HBO through Apple TV, they will be able to watch HBO in Picture-in-Picture mode when the new version of tvOS ships to the public later this year. However, if they subscribe to HBO through the HBONOW.com website and then watch the service via the third-party HBO NOW app, they won’t be able to use Picture-in-Picture mode. Although not mentioned by Apple, this exclusivity is maintained as Apple charges a commission from HBO when users subscribe to the latter’s service via Apple’s channel. iPhones In 2020 To Arrive With 5G And A Smaller 5.4 Inch Variant

American technology giant Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones later this year. These devices will be the upgraded variants of last years iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR. While the launch of the handsets is still a few months away, information about their successor has started surfacing online. According to the noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple will launch the first 5G iPhone in 2020.

Ming-Chi Kuo released a report discussing the iPhone lineup of the year 2020. As was expected from Apple, he claims that the company will introduce new smartphones capable of supporting 5G; the next generation of mobile networks. In a total launch of three smartphones, all of them will feature an OLED display and have a display size of 6.7 inch, 5.4 inch and 6.1 inch respectively. While the former two are the successors to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, the latter is the 2020 counterpart of the iPhone XR; which currently sports an LCD display. Out of all the three new devices, only the two more premium will support 5G networks, with the iPhone XR successor for 2020 featuring LTE connectivity.

The change in display sizes and configurations in the 2020 lineup of iPhones are expected to provide a significant upgrade to the consumers. For fans of a smaller iPhone, the 5.4 inch OLED 5G variant seems to be the perfect option. The piece of information was shared by a senior executive of Dexcom Inc that designs and manufactures continuous glucose monitoring systems for diabetes patients. In the year 2018, the company launched it latest device, called the Dexcom G6 it can function without any fingerstick-based calibration. For readers who are unaware, fingersticks are disposable strips which are used for checking blood sugar with the help of a Glucose meter.

The company is expected to be working on new and improved Dexcom G7 model that will directly transfer the wearer’s blood Glucose levels to the Apple Watch. The whole process will simplify the medication process for any Diabetes patient. However, the Dexcom executive did not reveal whether the G7 sensor will be integrated right into the Apple Watch or work as a separate device. Noteworthy, the current generation Dexcom G6 continuous glucose monitoring system costs about USD 349 (around Rs 25,000). Therefore, integrating such a sensor in the Apple watch will significantly raise its price unless the company is able to develop a similar sensor with an affordable price tag.

1.4 Billion Apple iPhones And iPads Are Vulnerable To Hacks

Apple is looking forward to a very successful year overall with the announcement of iOS 13 and the upcoming iPhone 11. However, a company by the name of Cellebrite, notorious for its hacking capabilities regarding smartphones, has announced that it can hack into any and every iPhone device.

The Israeli forensics company has reported that it can break into any iPhone or iPad regardless of what version of the OS they are running. Apple has stated that there are about 1.4 Billion active devices as of 2019. With this news, all of the users of these devices are vulnerable and potentially in danger of being hacked. Cellebrite has also claimed that it can hack Android devices as well.

Cellebrite is planning on selling this hacking tool that can perform complete data extraction from the systems of any iOS handset. Furthermore, claims made by the company carry a lot more weight considering the FBI had collaborated with Cellebrite to crack an iPhone back in 2016. Apple at that time refused to provide a backdoor to the FBI hence, its deal with Cellebrite.

The hacking tool although requires individuals to be in physical possession of the iPhone or iPad that is to be hacked. Breaking in apparently also requires lengthy security checks to determine the entitlement of the person trying to crack the device. Reportedly, Cellebrite’s past kits have sold for $100 (approx. Apple And Microsoft Plan An iCloud App For Windows 10

The American tech giants, Apple and Microsoft, are reportedly working in conjunction with one another for an iCloud app on Windows 10. While iCloud has been available on Microsoft’s platform for a while now, the cloud storage service will feature a sync capability based on tech similar to OneDrive’s Files On-Demand feature. American electronics giant Apple is expected to launch three new variants of its popular smartphone; the Apple iPhone later this year. The devices will be the successor to the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR from last year. While there is still time before the handsets are officially announced by the company; new information about them has been surfacing online for a while now. In a fresh leak, a Korean media outlet has revealed the battery capacity of the most affordable iPhone to be released this year, the alleged iPhone XR 2019.

According to the media outlet, the successor to the iPhone XR, which is purportedly called the iPhone XR 2019 will have a larger battery than its predecessor. It has been revealed that the smartphone will have a 3110mAh battery; which is around a 5 percent improvement over the 2942mAh cell found in the current generation of iPhone XR. The larger battery will make the device have the biggest battery in any single-celled iPhone; as the more premium variants have two different cells attached to each other for a combined larger capacity. The report also mentions that China’s Ameperx Technology Limited (ATL) has started mass production of the batteries for the iPhone XR 2019. The production was kicked off on June 9, with the packaging being done by another Chinese firm known as Huapu Technology.

The iPhone XR, when launched last year, was praised for its battery life as it used a lower resolution LCD display compared to OLED found in its elder siblings. Increasing the capacity of its successor insinuates that the iPhone XR 2019 may be another battery champ; among the slew of iPhones scheduled to release this year. The upcoming affordable iPhone has been leaked to arrive with two new colours, dual rear cameras and run on the Apple A13 SoC at the same price as its predecessor. Unfortunately, more details about the handset are not known at the moment, but they are expected to be unravelled as we move closer to the device launch.
