The Samsung Galaxy M40 will be a mid-range offering from the company; taking the mantle from the Galaxy M30 launched back in the month of February. According to the leaks in the past, the device will feature a polycarbonate body with an attractive gradient coloured back. It will have a 6.3 inch LCD display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 px. To maximise the screen real estate, the smartphone has been confirmed to sport a hole punch cutout to house the front camera on the top left of the display, like the Galaxy A60. For quickly accessing the handset, a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner with support for face unlock may also be present on the Galaxy M40.

For selfies, a 16MP camera is expected to be housed in the punch hole cutout on top of the display. The Galaxy M40 may arrive with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, which will support memory expansion via microSD.
