Google Pixel 4 Design Leaked In All Its Glory

Google’s long-awaited Pixel 4 smartphone is just around the corner. The device is set to launch in October this year and will mark the fourth iteration of the company’s flagship handsets. Following initial leaks, the American company had unveiled the rear design of the device which showcased the new camera module. Now, the latest report reveals the complete design of the Pixel 4 in great detail.

    Google Pixel 4

According to the source, the front of the Google Pixel 4 XL features minimal bezels on all sides except for a noticeable forehead on top which houses the selfie camera alongside the essential sensors. The power button and volume rockers are housed on the right of the device, while the left is devoid of any seams. Its square rear camera module is seen at the top left on the back panel with the ‘G’ logo on the bottom.

    Google Pixel 4

While most OEMs are moving towards a full-screen front panel, Google Pixel 4 XL is seen here still sporting the traditional design philosophy. However, the design has a function and meaning behind its existence. The forehead houses two front-facing cameras, primary and wide angle lens, and a specialized sensor for Air Gestures. It has no visible fingerprint sensor at the back which implies that Google will probably include an in display fingerprint sensor.

Huawei Mate 30 Leaked With The Highest DxOMark Rating

Huawei is gearing up for the launch of its flagship smartphones after facing numerous complications because of the US Government. The entire ordeal had hampered the company but its operations have finally returned to normal to some extent. The Chinese company had unveiled its flagship Mate 20 series line up about a year ago. The upcoming top-end smartphone has been previously seen carrying an entirely different design altogether. One had showcased a rectangular camera module at the back, similar to its predecessor, while another showcased a circular camera setup. According to the new leak, it can be seen that the circular rear camera design is being taken forward. The Huawei Mate 30 renders portray a standard modern handset design that features a unique circular quad camera module at the back.

    Huawei Mate 30

It is unclear which camera sensors Huawei Mate 30 will employ; however, it can be gathered that a 5x optical zoom capable lens will be provided alongside the primary shooter. The renders also show a partnership with Leica for the design and production of the camera lenses. It is labelled as Leica Vario-Summilux-H 1:1.6-3.4/16-125mm ASPH. Notably, the leak has suggested that the upcoming smartphone has the highest DxOMark rating of 115. These Renders Of The Google Pixel 4 Mini Look Amazing

Google is gearing up for the launch of its flagship smartphones, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL which are expected to launch in the month of September. Besides the two high end devices, the company is also rumoured to launch a smaller handset which might be called the Pixel 4 Mini.

New concept renders of the device have been shared on Twitter by user PhoneDesigner. Although the renders are based on leaks and reports which lack any real evidence, they look enticing enough that Google must draw inspiration from, if it ever plans to build a miniature variant of the Pixel smartphones.

According to the concept renders, the Google Pixel Mini 4 has a compact form factor which will easily fit even in hand of users that have the smallest of hands. The bezels around the display of the device are almost negligible which provide it with an appealing look. The rear of the alleged Pixel 4 Mini seems to made out of glass that houses the company logo and a square camera module. Like the Pixel 4, the smaller device also features dual rear cameras and a dual LED flash. Speaking of ports and buttons, the device has a bottom mounted USB C port and a right side mounted power button.

Besides, the user had previously shared another set of renders of the Pixel 4 Mini which also has a fascinating design. Furthermore, the rear of the device in this render looks more like the Pixel 3 lineup rather than the official Pixel 4 teasers.

  • Samsung Could Be Working On A New Galaxy Fold With Curved Display

Samsung Could Be Working On A New Galaxy Fold With Curved Display

Foldable smartphones have been a hot topic of the year. A smartphone that can bend its screen was a far off fantasy in the past. Samsung, with the Galaxy Fold, became one of the first companies to ever make this dream a reality for many enthusiasts. Unfortunately, the technology was prematurely revealed to the world. However, A brand new report has suggested that the company might be working on a new folding device with curved edges.

    Foldable smartphone

Samsung has still not given an official announcement for the launch of its Galaxy Fold, and are now seemingly applying patents for a new device. The patent is for an upcoming foldable smartphone with a curved edge display. Unlike, Huawei’s upcoming Mate X which has its screen on the inside, Samsung is pushing for a display panel on the outside. The last couple of years have seen many such patents pop up showcasing revolutionary and innovative designs.

    Foldable smartphone

Samsung’s latest foldable smartphone was filed for a patent under the title, “Foldable electronic device including flexible device.” This implies that a full-screen curved edge folding handset may already be under development. The second iteration of the company’s foldable phone does not seem to have any visible sidebar and its front-facing is camera built into the screen.

The foldable smartphone has two major halves that are held together by a hinge, onto which both sides can cave into. According to the schematics, a rotatable hinge is being used for this design, unlike the one present in the Galaxy Fold. The hinge is partially built into the devices rear panels recess. The mechanism has to be perfect in its implementation lest they repeat the past iterations debacle. Samsung will most likely make this a premium smartphone with top-notch specs and hardware.

    Foldable smartphone

The South Korean OEM will probably incorporate a high-grade display into the device. A tablet format viewing experiences can be taken from the foldable smartphone once it is expanded. The device has curved edges flank both sides, that makes it look stylish like in previous Galaxy S and Note series flagships. Users will find a curved display on one side and the hinge on the other when the device is folded. The punch hole camera is housed on the top left corner of the screen, which allows for use even when the device isn’t folded. A heart rate sensor and flash are also planned according to the patent description.

    Foldable smartphone

The earpiece and ambient light sensors are placed on the top of the foldable smartphone, with the bottom having the mic (left half) and charging port (right half). The frame border on the side cannot be discerned due to the introduction of the curved edges. Placement of the power button is still unknown and a 3.5mm headphone jack will probably not be seen in the smartphone. Samsung had previously abandoned the buttonless idea on the Galaxy Note 10 during development, but the feature may finally make an appearance.

Samsung has already patented various folding devices and is planning on releasing a new foldable smartphone annually. The introduction of the curved edges is a highly welcomed addition to the already innovative design of the phone. The tech giant is pulling out every trick it has in the new device to make it fill the shortcoming of its predecessors. Many OEMs have yet to release foldable devices and Samsung could very well bring the form factor to mainstream audiences in the future.

    Motorola One Pro

    Specification & Design

Motorola has not given any sliver of information regarding this device and is yet to confirm any reports. Hence, specific details or internal configurations are still unknown but the past leak did contain some information. Motorola One Pro is claimed to feature a 6.2-inch screen that is probably an FHD+ display panel. The dimensions of the handset are 158.7 x 75 x 8.8mm, 9.8mm when thickness of the camera bump is accounted for.

According to the renders, Motorola One Pro has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C charging port which will likely support some form of fast charging. The volume rockers and power button are placed at the right of the screen, and the left is devoid of any seams. SIM tray is set on the top of the smartphone’s frame. The front of the device features a waterdrop-notch while the back has a rectangular module housing the four camera sensors.

Exact specifications and capabilities of the camera are still unknown, but apart from the previously reported 48MP primary shooter, a wide angle and telephoto lens would probably make an appearance. The camera bump also has the Motorola branding with the company’s signature batwing logo. For security, it seems as though an in-display scanner might be planned as well. Additionally, in the new Motorola One Pro renders, three more colour variants are also seen.

  • Sony Xperia 2 Spotted On EEC Website

Sony Xperia 2 Spotted On EEC Website

An unnamed smartphone from Sony has been spotted on the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission) certification. The device is yet to be announced or teased in any manner by the company, so finer details are still at large. What can be gathered, however, is the model number J9210 that may relate it to the Xperia 1 which was J9110 and may be its successor dubbed the Sony Xperia 2.

    Sony Xperia 2

The name of the smartphone may still differ from simply being a successor to the Xperia 1. Due to lack of any information, only speculations can be made regarding Sony Xperia 2’s specifications. The smartphone would most likely host the top of the line current gen hardware specifications. Sony Xperia 1 was released in February 2019 to a mixed reception. The device brought many desirable features to the table but lacked in other fundamental areas at the same time.

    Sony Xperia 2

The CinemaWide HDR OLED display of Xperia 1 was one of the key features introduced and will also probably see a return with Xperia 2. Likewise, the upcoming flagship similar to its predecessor would sport the latest Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm. Alleged renders of the Sony Xperia 2 showcase a triple camera setup as well, albeit in a different position. Furthermore, this device could be utilized as an opportunity by the company to make up for all the shortcomings of its previous iteration. Xperia 1 was infamous for its dim display and a glitchy fingerprint sensor on the side.

    Sony Xperia 2

Due to the lack of any form of concrete data, it is still unclear if this unannounced smartphone would be a standalone device or even simply a refreshed variant of the pre-existing versions from Sony. However, regardless of the name, the upcoming device will carry the unique 21:9 display with a similar camera sensor and even storage options in the Sony Xperia 2.

So an Indian release is probably not being taken into account.

Alleged Renders Of The Huawei Mate 30 Pro Surface On Weibo

Even though Huawei had to face a major setback after the US trade ban, it seems to be in no mood to slow down its spree of launching new devices. The company is set to launch its latest smartphone lineup, the Nova 5 on 21st of June. Besides, the alleged renders of the successor to its last year’s flagship grade Mate 20 Pro have also surfaced on Chinese social media website, Weibo. The upcoming device will be dubbed the Mate 30 Pro and the said renders reveal that its design will be a huge departure from the current gen smartphone.

    Mate 30 Pro Renders

According to the alleged renders of the Mate 30 Pro, it will have an edge to edge display with an oval punch hole that houses dual selfie cameras. Similar to its predecessor, the display of the device tapers towards the side. The rear of the Mate 30 Pro is reminiscent of the Mate 20 Pro that has a glass back with a gradient design. Also, the current renders corroborate with past leaks which date back to the month of January.

The rear of the Mate 30 Pro houses the company branding and a quad camera setup which is arranged in a rectangular module that protrudes slightly from the surface. All in all, the design of the smartphone has an appealing look with a considerable upgrade over its predecessor. The source lags any specifications about the upcoming device, however, some assumptions about it can be made.

The Mate 30 Pro is expected to be kitted with the Kirin 985 SoC which might debut with the new handset. The chipset will be fabricated using a 7 nm process and will reportedly be manufactured by TSMC. The aforementioned foundry also manufactures Bionic chipsets for Apple iPhones. In terms of memory and storage, it is expected to be offered with upto 12 GB of RAM and upto 256 GB of ROM. The Mate 30 Pro will assumedly be powered with battery greater than 4,000 mAh along with support for 44 w charging. This fast charging is already present on the P30 Pro from Huawei. Most importantly, it is likely to run on the HongMeng OS which the company is expected to launch soon.

  • Google Pixel 4 Renders Leaked On Twitter

Google Pixel 4 Renders Leaked On Twitter

Google’s flagship smartphone, the Pixel series, are now caught amidst various rumours. Leaks across the internet showcase entirely different form factors and design. One of the most reliable sources from which information can be gathered is from a leakster OnLeaks on Twitter. Google had recently launched its mid-range handsets, the Pixel 3a and 3a XL. Anticipation regarding its upcoming flagship smartphones lineup has been building up nearing its announcement in October. The famous leakster OnLeaks (on Twitter) leaked out planned schematics of the Pixel 4. The 5K renders of the latest Pixel flagship are claimed to be based on prototypes and might undergo slight changes before its actual launch.

The most notable aspect of the renders points at the square camera module, similar to the leaked Apple iPhone XI renders. Google Pixel smartphones are known for their class-leading camera capabilities with its single camera sensor setup. The new leaks have pointed to a dual and, quite possibly, a triple camera module at the rear. This will be the first multi-camera function utilized on the Google Pixel. Renders also highlight the lack of a fingerprint sensor, that is traditionally placed on the back of the company’s smartphones.

    Google Pixel

The American company might be going for 3D face recognition tech in addition to in-display fingerprint sensor with the Google Pixel 4. Due to an earpiece being seen in the renders, it is safe to assume a notch will be present this year as well. Two speaker grills are seen on the sides of the USB Type-C port, ditching its front-facing speakers seen in previous iterations. Physical buttons for volume and power can be found on the right side of the device with the left being devoid of any seams. Similar to its predecessors, the Google Pixel skips out on the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Since it is a Google flagship handset, it is destined to ship with the latest version of Android OS which will be Android Q at the time of launch.

    iPhone XI Renders

The renders of the iPhone XI exhibit an elegant looking smartphone which is reminiscent of the current generation devices. On the front of the device sits a large screen display which is surrounded with minimum bezels on all sides except for a wide notch up top. Like the iPhone XS, the notch of the upcoming device houses the front-facing camera and the earpiece for receiving phone calls.

The iPhone XI concept renders exhibit curved edges which have been staple to the lineup since the iPhone 6. However, the key highlighting feature of future flagship iPhone lies on the back. The rear of the conceptual iPhone XI has a triple camera setup which has been claimed several sources in the past. The camera housing has a squarical shape

Notably, like the iPhone XS, the rear camera module of the anticipated smartphone also protrudes out slightly of the back panel. The bottom of the handset from the renders have a USB Type C port which is flanked by grilles on either side. • The Pixel 4 Concept Renders We Want Google To Breathe Life Into

The Pixel 4 Concept Renders We Want Google To Breathe Life Into

Late last year Google launched its latest Android smartphones, the Pixel 3 and the Pixel 3 XL. Both the smartphones were highly honoured for their stock Android experience and camera prowess but not so much for their looks. A leak in the past claimed that the expected Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will feature a punch hole display like the freshly launched Galaxy S10 lineup. A Twitter user, @PhoneDesigner has created a bunch of Pixel 4 concept renders which look astonishing. Even though the artist has no association with Google, the following renders are highly impressive and we want the company to take note from them.

Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL

As previously mentioned the HD concept renders of the Pixel 4 and 4 XL exhibit an impressive smartphone duo. Both smartphones have a high screen to body ratio display which is surrounded with minimal bezels on all sides. The Pixel 4 XL has dual front-facing punch hole cameras while the Pixel 4 has a single front-facing punch hole camera. The right side of both the Pixel 4 smartphones from the concept render is occupied by the volume rocker and the mint coloured power button which the owners of current Pixel handsets have always fancied.

The rear side concept renders of the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 4 XL is reminiscent of the current Pixel lineup. However, it does not exhibit a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, which states an on display fingerprint sensor. The plausibility of this type of biometric unlocking mechanism on the upcoming smartphones is quite high, given most Android flagships from 2019 have this feature. Noteworthy, the Pixel 4 XL concept render reveals dual rear cameras. Pixel smartphones are recognised for their camera performance and a Pixel handset with dual rear cameras would only add up to its saga.

The Palm Sized Pixel 4 Mini We Desire

In addition to the Pixel 4 and 4 XL render, the Twitter user also shared some concept renders of a dainty palm-sized Pixel smartphone. Even though Google has never discussed that a Pixel smartphone this small is in the works, the company can surely take it into consideration. As the newly launched, Galaxy S10e that has a compact form factor is turning a lot of heads globally.

The palm-sized Pixel 4 has a similar layout as the standard Pixel 4 which means it has a single camera on both the front and the back except for a much smaller footprint. Admirably, the second colour option of the mini Pixel 4 in Red and Black colour simply looks breathtaking. Furthermore, the UI in this colour variant matches the exterior colours which again seems fantastic.

There are several image renders and video showcasing what a OnePlus 6T with a pop-up selfie camera could look like. The images of the smartphone also hint at in-display fingerprint sensor. What is also worthing noting, is that the rear panel of the smartphone reveals a third camera sensor for the primary camera setup. Except for the lack of notch and the third camera, the aesthetics of the smartphone follow the same pattern as the OnePlus 6. The pop-up selfie camera also has dual sensor, which means the smartphone could feature a more evolved face-unlock mechanism. Similar to the ones found on the Oppo Find X and even the iPhone X.

Our Predictions For The OnePlus 6T

The CEO of OnePlus announced previoulsy that the company would launch a OnePlus 6T only if there is anything new to offer. Since then, companies like Oppo launched its Find X smartphone and Vivo launched the Vivo Nex. Both of these devices feature an almost all-screen display with a pop-up selfie camera. These smartphones have potentially ushered the industry into a new domain of display real-estate. Which gives OnePlus an incentive to launch the OnePlus 6T.  Corning Gorilla Glass have also announced their new Gorilla Glass 6 which can be customized to create beautiful looking glass-back smartphones. This is also something the company could make use of.

We also predict that the smartphone will feature the same Snapdragon 845 found in the OnePlus 6.  It is important to note that these are just image renders and could only be speculations.

Sony Xperia XZ3 Leaked Renders and Benchmark Suggest 48 MP Camera

Sony might release the Sony Xperia XZ3 in its IFA 2018 press conference scheduled for 30th August. However, before the launch, the leaks for the smartphone reveal that it might have an all glass or at least a glass back design and no headphone jack. We speculate that this smartphone could feature the Corning Gorilla Glass 6, which launched on 18th July.

There is no doubt that Sony is one of the top camera sensors manufacturers. Many smartphone brands use these sensors for their devices. However, its own smartphone lineup has not been doing so well. While the company had a relatively profitable year in 2017, the profits made were because of the price cuts. Sony does not lack behind when it comes to bringing innovation with its smartphones. With the Xperia XZ2, Sony became the first brand to introduce a 4K HDR display on its device, along with 960 fps slow-motion video recording capabilities. Even with such innovative features, Sony has not been doing well in the market. The reason could have something to do with the lack of design changes in its smartphones. The new leaked renders for the Sony Xperia XZ3 also seem to hint at the same design the company followed with the Xperia XZ2 lineup.

If the image above is anything to go by then, the company has again decided not to dwell into design changes with the Sony Xperia XZ3. Apart from curved edges on the display not much seems to have changed in the new smartphone.

While this image shows the device in a black colour variant, other renders reveal white/silver variant as well. What is worth noting, is that in any of the renders, we could not find a headphone jack. Apart from the design, this is also something that the smartphone has in common with its predecessor. The renders of the Sony Xperia XZ3 also show that the smartphone has a single rear-facing camera. Right below the camera, you will find the fingerprint sensor.

It is clear from the renders that the design changes will be to a bare minimum if any. What remains to be seen is what new features the Sony Xperia XZ3 would bring which we haven’t already seen in 2018. Although very little is known about the smartphone but we speculate that it will run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Chipset and have AI capabilities in its camera. A benchmark with a model number H8416 has appeared on GFXBench featuring a camera with whopping 47MP resolution. We expect this to be the Sony flagship cameras for future smartphones, and yo may see major brands utilise this. Sony recently launched the 48MP IMX586 sensor which could be this very sensor.

Sony has suffered in the market due to poor pricing decisions, especially in a price sensitive market like India. The company also has been late to the market with its smartphones. And lastly, the specifications Sony chooses for its devices are seldom up to the mark, especially the design. If the company can make the necessary changes, it can potentially give the likes of Samsung and Apple a run for their money.
