The Upcoming Honor TV Will Have A Motorised Popup Camera

After smartphones, Huawei’s subsidiary, Honor plans to enter the Smart TV market. The company claims that the upcoming television has numerous innovative features that will make it stand out of the crowd. Well, that is something only time will tell and will be influenced by several factors.

Days before the official launch, Honor has shared a teaser of its highly anticipated television that will bring to the table, a segment-first feature. According to the teaser, the Honor TV will have a camera which will be placed inside a motorised module.

The said feature is similar to what is found on modern smartphones including the newly launched Honor 9X and the Redmi K20 duo. Like a smartphone, the motorised pop-up selfie camera will allow minimising the thickness of the bezels around the display.

Clearly, the camera will be used for making video calls via certain applications that the upcoming Honor TV will support. Additionally, it could be used to capture pictures or videos. Though it is yet to be confirmed, the camera can aid in playing certain applications like games that need to track the movement of the user.

Noteworthy, due to its retractable nature, the camera on the Honor TV won’t appear as a threat to one personal or working space. This is a huge factor while considering the fact that even laptops or computer webcams can be hijacked by hackers for ill purposes.

Besides, the Honor TV is expected to run on HongMeng which is company’s homebrewed OS that it has been developing since 2012.

Asus ROG Phone 2 With 120 Hz Display To Launch Soon

With the rise in popularity for mobile gaming, the demand for gaming smartphones has also seen an upward trend. In the year 2018, Taiwan based Asus launched the ROG Phone which is packed with features that are designed and incorporated while keeping gamers in mind. As time passed, the device’s specification seems to fall short in comparison to its competitors including the Nubia Red Magic 3 and the Xiaomi Black Shark 2.

To take on its competitors that pack flagship worthy features from 2019, Asus has been anticipated to launch a successor to the original ROG phone. Pleasingly, the company has officially revealed that the second generation ROG Phone is in the works and it will have a feature that is a segment first. ROG’s official account on Chinese social media website, Weibo confirmed that the Asus ROG gaming Phone 2 will have a praiseworthy 120 Hz refresh rate display. To boost the hype around the upcoming device, Asus has also collaborated with the game developer, Tencent which is renowned for the wildly successful PUBG Mobile. Other specifications of the upcoming smartphone will be revealed at the time of launch, however, following are the expectations from the device.

    Asus ROG Phone 2 Expectations

Snapdragon 855 SoC: Being a 2019 flagship grade Android smartphone, the apparent choice for the chipset on the Asus ROG Phone 2 is Snapdragon 855 which is seen on most other flagship devices from leading OEMs.

4,000 mAh+ Battery: Running resource hungry tasks like games on a smartphone takes a jab on the battery draining it at a comparatively faster pace. Even though the original Asus ROG Phone has a large 4,000 mAh battery, an even larger capacity battery would be appreciated by the consumers. Also, with the ZenFone 6, Asus has managed to accommodate a 5,000 mAh battery. Therefore, the upcoming gaming focused device is also predicted to have a similar size battery.

    In-display Fingerprint Sensor:

The original Asus ROG Phone has a rear mounted fingerprint sensor which was found on almost every 2018 flagship device. However, with the advancement in technology, the industry has shifted to an in-display fingerprint sensor which is concealed under the display. Accordingly, the Asus ROG Phone 2 is also expected to have an in-display fingerprint sensor.

    6 Inch+ Display:

The original Asus ROG phone Phone has a 6.0 inch AMOLED display with Full HD resolution. With the most mid-range and premium smartphones from 2019 having a display larger than 6 inch, the upcoming Asus ROG Phone 2 is predicted to have a display larger than its predecessor. • NVIDIA Teases A ‘Super’ Upgrade In Graphics Ahead Of Computex 2019

NVIDIA Teases A ‘Super’ Upgrade In Graphics Ahead Of Computex 2019

Computex 2019 is just around the corner, and brands are gearing up to showcase some of the best products and developments in computing. It is apparent that the PC market is unlikely to dwindle anytime soon which a few reports from the past claimed. Popular brands are innovating with newer products and techniques that bump up performance levels of machines while curbing the prices at the same time. Amidst all this, American chip manufacturer NVIDIA has posted a teaser on its YouTube channel, which hints at something “Super” making its way to the Computex 2019 event being held in Taiwan from 28 May to 1 June.

NVIDIA At Computex 2019: What To Expect?

As per reports, the company is already planning a press conference at the said event. There is a chance that the “Super” announcement is AI/Software related since NVIDIA RTX and 16-series cards are still fairly new to the market. However, the company can unveil a significant upgrade to one of its older cards to bring them at par with the competition looming up ahead. And talking of competition, AMD’s Navi GPUs are also set to make a debut in the not-so-distant future, which might shift NVIDIA in its seat a little.

    NVIDIA TITAN RTX GPU

As per sources, NVIDIA is planning to incorporate a faster 16Gbps memory standard in its existing RTX series of GPUs. This will be a significant boost from the previous 14Gbps memory in the GPUs. A 2Gbps memory improvement is expected to provide almost 14 percent of performance boost if and when it is implemented. However, the question of price still takes the podium. Will NVIDIA charge a hefty price for such an upgrade in the future?

Since the teaser shows nothing except the embossed metal super logo (from a variety of angles), fans are only left with the option of taking wild guesses and waiting for the press conference at the event itself. As mentioned before, AMD’s price point for the upcoming Navi-based graphics chips may (severely) affect NVIDIA’s flagship lineup. But since the company has emerged unscathed time and again, we can expect NVIDIA to have a neat trick up its sleeve for Computex 2019.

The feature seemed very handy for a device it’s size, especially when it is switched to the tablet mode. Also, the speed at which the phone was folded into the smartphone mode was also remarkable, considering that it literally shrunk to half its size in the blink of an eye.

The Xiaomi foldable smartphone is expected to run on the Snapdragon 855 chipset, which is the norm for any flagship smartphone right now. The device’s foldable display is speculated to be co-developed by Visionox, as per reports. The device may debut in the second quarter of 2019, and users may witness its first launch in China. As far as pricing is concerned, the foldable smartphone may be priced aggressively as compared to other upcoming foldable smartphones. Seeing as how the Galaxy Fold from Samsung is priced at US$ 1,980, Xiaomi may adopt almost half the price of the same, placing it at under US$ 1000.

Sony Teases The Launch Of Xperia XZ4 In The New Teaser Video

Sony is all set to unveil its flagship smartphone for the year 2019, the Xperia XZ4 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2019. The Japanese electronics brand posted a 15 second teaser video on Twitter, which hinted at the launch of a “new smartphone design”. The teaser with the description “Embrace a new perspective” points towards the upcoming Xperia XZ4.

    About The Teaser

Although the teaser doesn’t exactly mention the Xperia XZ4, Sony creates speculations regarding a smartphone with an unconventionally tall display. A “new perspective” might mean the tall 21:9 display of the upcoming device. A lot of leaks have already revealed a lot of specifications and features of the Xperia XZ4. Furthermore, Sony has already filed a trademark for the term ‘Cinemawide’ with the European Union Intellectual Property Office on February 4. It is noteworthy here that a ‘cinemawide’ or 21:9 display will allow the user to enjoy cinematic widescreen movies without any black bars.

    Specifications And Features

Sources have claimed that the Sony Xperia XZ4 may have 3 camera sensors on the back. The smartphone is expected to sport a 52 MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.6, which will make it the highest pixel count so far in a smartphone. The device is supposed to be equipped with a 0.3 MP ToF sensor to increase autofocus speed, along with a 16 MP (f/2.6) telephoto lens.
