    • Notably, the reverse wireless charging feature that was seen earlier this year with Samsung Galaxy S10 devices will also be found on 2019 iPhones. It is also claimed that the iPhone will now include a multi-angle Face ID sensor that will unlock the device much more easily even when it is laying flat on a table.

    New 2018 iPhone

    • Apple is making the new iPhone with higher water resistance. It is suggested that the device can last far longer than the 30-minute rating on the currently available iPhones. Additionally, the devices will also be more sturdy with new shatter-resistant technology.
    • The entire 2019 iPhone ranges will house the A13 Apple processor as well as a new Matrix chip that could benefit computer vision and augmented reality performance. On the outside, the Pro phones will look similar to its predecessors in size and design but they will introduce an all new matte finish rear.
    • 3D Touch will no longer be present in any of the 2019 Apple iPhone range, as the Haptic Touch will replace it. Notewrothy, 5G is not arriving in 2019 iPhones and will be seen in the 2020 models. For iPhone XR, its 2019 iteration will bring incremental improvements. Apart from the faster processor, the handset will reportedly feature a dual camera setup with support for optical zoom.

Apple is also claimed to discontinue its existing entry-level 9.7 inch iPad in favour of a new 10.2-inch model.

Top Upcoming Smartphones To Look Out For In Second Half Of 2019

The year 2019 is half over and we have already witnessed an excessive number of smartphone launches. However, a whole array of high-end flagship smartphones still await to be unveiled. In this story, we will cover the most notable upcoming smartphones that will surely get you excited. Following is the list of smartphones that will launch soon:

Galaxy Note 10Galaxy Note 10 Smartphones

The Galaxy Note 10 is one of the most anticipated smartphones that Samsung will launch this year. Surprisingly, the company is reported to launch multiple variants of the Galaxy Note 10 which will cater to the needs of different consumer types. According to past leaks, the lineup will consist of four smartphones including Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10e, Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy Note 10 5G.

The key features that the smartphones in this lineup will have are punch hole camera, edge to edge display, Snapdragon 855 or Exynos 9820 SoC which will be dependent on the region the device is sold in. Staple to Galaxy Note lineup, the upcoming smartphones will have a multi-feature stylus which is reported to have an inbuilt camera.

Precise details of the Note 10 smartphones including price and specifications will be revealed at the Galaxy Unpacked event which is set for the 7th of August in the USA. Additionally, the re-engineered Galaxy Fold is also expected to make a reappearance at the event.

    iPhone XI Lineup

Following the legacy of the iPhone, Apple will also soon launch its latest smartphones for 2019. Like yesteryear, Apple will launch three iPhone models which will allegedly be called iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max and iPhone XI R. According to leaks and reports, the 2019 iPhone trio will carry forward the same design layout as last year’s model.

    Apple iPhone 2019 Smartphones

Besides, all three smartphones will get one more camera on the rear which will be a 3D ToF sensor for gathering depth information. Therefore, the flagship grade iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max will have triple rear cameras while the economical iPhone XI R will have dual rear cameras.

In terms of specifications, the iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max and the iPhone XI R will be kitted with the Apple A13 chipset which will be fabricated using 7 nm process and will be manufactured by TSMC. Also new for 2019, Apple may equip the future iPhones with USB Type C port and will ship the devices with an 18 W fast charger which was previously sold separately.

Pixel 4 And Pixel 4 XL

Google Pixel 4 SmartphonesThe Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will be Google’s 2019 flagship devices which will succeed the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL from 2018. The notable change that the new smartphones are confirmed to have is a multi-camera setup on the rear. Therefore the company will step up its camera performance to another level. As the existing Google Pixel smartphones with a single camera are well recognised for their camera performance, both in under and overexposed lighting conditions. Google Pixel 4

Talking about hardware, the Pixel 4 lineup is reported to be kitted with the Snapdragon 855 SoC which consists of an Octa-Core CPU and Adreno 640 GPU. The front of the devices may have a punch hole camera along with an under display fingerprint scanner for rapidly logging into the user interface.Google Pixel 4 Smartphones

Google’s flagship smartphones for 2019 are expected to launch in the month of October which falls in line with the launch of current-gen handsets.

    Mate 30 Pro

Huawei P30 pro Render Smartphones The Mate 30 Pro will be Huawei’s second flagship lineup of the year after the P30 lineup which has a focus on photography. The upcoming handset will succeed the Mate 20 Pro which was launched in the month of October last year. Under the hood, the Mate 30 Pro will feature the Kirin 985 SoC which will debut with the flagship smartphone.Smartphones

The Mate 30 Pro is claimed to have a punch hole camera on the front which is becoming a common sighting on premium and mid-range Android smartphones. Speaking of rear camera setup, the device may have a quad rear camera which was exhibited by freshly leaked case and renders.

Noteworthy, the company may unveil the Mate 30 Pro along with HongMeng OS which it has been developing covertly for years. According to a senior executive, the upcoming OS is 60 percent faster than Android OS which seems like an astounding claim. Till the time the company shows real-world demonstrations of the OS, it is recommended to take them with a grain of salt.

The exact launch date of the Mate 30 Pro is not yet revealed but it is assumed to be announced in the month of October this year.

  • Apple To Launch An Exclusive iPhone For China Without Face ID

Apple To Launch An Exclusive iPhone For China Without Face ID

In addition to the US, China has been one of the biggest markets for Apple’s iPhone. However, in the last couple of quarters, the demand for the premium smartphones have gone down in the south Asian country. The chief reason behind the slumping sales in the country is the trade tension between the two biggest nations, Apple and China. Additionally, local OEMs have also managed to captivate the segment by offering the sheer number of features on their devices.

To arrest the declining sales of iPhone in the country, Apple will reportedly launch an exclusive variant of the premium smartphone which will be limited to China. According to source, the China-only iPhone variant will be more affordable than the global variant which will allow it to better compete with the previously mentioned devices from local companies.

    iPhone Face ID
    Face ID

Apart from the lower price tag, the design of the Chinese variant and global variant of the 2019 iPhone will be identical. However, the key difference between the two variants lies beneath the surface. The former will do away with the Face ID feature, instead, it will have an under-display fingerprint sensor which has become a common sighting on the premium to mid-range Android phones.

All iPhone models that support Face ID must have an expensive component which is called structured light laser emitter. Accordingly, Apple might get rid of the Face ID components which will help the company to reduce the cost of the 2019 iPhone. This cost reduction strategy corresponds with the Chinese poll that questioned, “In Display Fingerprint Scannerwhich aspect can Apple optimize in iPhone”.

Over 2,00,000 netizens from the country participated in the polls and a whopping 70 percent of participants chose the “price” factor. This was followed by the battery which was selected by about 20 percent of all the participants. Therefore, it is evident that Chinese consumers want to purchase an iPhone but steep prices are hampering its sales.

Also, the comparatively higher adoption of the under-screen fingerprint sensor has significantly reduced its costs. Hence, Apple can use this mode of the biometric sensor instead of Face ID. Besides, all other features on the Chinese variant will be similar to the global variant which can be found here

Amidst all reports and predictions, we feel Apple is unlikely to launch an affordable iPhone which is limited to a given area. In order to get the precise details of the upcoming smartphones, we will have to wait patiently as they are expected to launch in September.

  • Features And Design Of Apple iPhone XI Lineup Leaked In CAD Renders

Features And Design Of Apple iPhone XI Lineup Leaked In CAD Renders

Cupertino based electronics giant, Apple is expected to launch its latest smartphones in the month of September. The upcoming handsets will allegedly be called iPhone XI (11), iPhone XI Max (11 Max) and iPhone XIR (11R) which will succeed the iPhone trio (1,2) from 2018. The 2019 iPhones have been subjected to numerous leaks and rumours which have revealed both their design and key features.

A user on the SlashLeaks website has shared CAD (Computer Aided Design) renders of the iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max and the iPhone XIR which correspond with the past claims and have revealed the devices from all angles.

    2019 iPhone Design

The dimensions and layout of the front fascia of the all three 2019 iPhone models are exactly the same as their respective predecessors. Hence the high end iPhone XI will have a 6.5 inch display, the standard iPhone X will have a 5.8 inch display and the economical iPhone XR will have a 6.1 inch display.

Besides, the display technology on the three 2019 iPhones is also likely to remain the same. Therefore, the two flagship variants, the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max will have an OLED touchscreen display, while the iPhone XIR will have an LCD panel.

The major distinction that can be observed on the future iPhone models is on the rear panel. In comparison to the 2018 iPhones, all three models will have a square camera module which protrudes slightly above the surface.

Furthermore, the upcoming iPhone models will have one additional camera sensor than their 2018 predecessors. Accordingly, the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max will have triple cameras and the iPhone XIR will have dual cameras. The supplementary sensor is reported to be a ToF sensor which is used for collecting depth information.

To further strengthen the claim, Sony had previously admitted boosting the production of its 3D camera sensors which will be used on 2019 iPhones.

Other elements on the 2019 iPhone models including the ports and buttons will also be heterogeneous as their corresponding predecessors. Thus the power button on the iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max and iPhone XIR will be placed on the right and while the volume rockers and the mute switch will be placed on the right.

Disparate to 2018 iPhones, the 2019 iPhone models may get a USB Type C port. The claim can be strengthened on the basis that Apple has already equipped both the variants of the current gen iPad Pro with this type of connectors which are becoming a common sighting on electronic devices.

Although the current leak does not provide any specifications of the 2019 iPhone models, they can be derived from the leaks which were previously mentioned. The iPhone XI, iPhone XI Max and iPhone XIR will be kitted with the updated Apple’s in-house developed mobile chipset which according to the chronological order will be called A13 bionic chipset. The said chipset will be fabricated using 7 nm process and will be manufactured by TSMC which has already confirmed the chipset has hit the production stage.

Also new for 2019, Apple will reportedly bundle the iPhone models with an 18 W fast charger which is sold separately for the current gen devices. Distinctively, the affordable iPhone XI R was reported to be launched in two new colours which include Green and Lavender which will replace Coral and Blue from last year.

  • 5 Features That We Want In The iPhone 11

5 Features That We Want In The iPhone 11

As we draw closer to the launch date of the iPhone 11 (iPhone XI), Apple fans are expecting a host of new features in the upcoming smartphone. The next generation iPhone is expected to be launched in the month of September 2019, alongside a new iteration of the Apple Watch. Triple rear camera set up in the device has already been revealed, thanks to countless leaks and rumours across the web. However, here are some upgrades that we are really looking forward to in the Apple iPhone 11.

    More Internal Storage
    iPhone XS

The memory requirements of smartphones are increasing with each new iteration since an upgraded camera and additional features imply that images will occupy a bigger chunk in the memory block. As mentioned before, the iPhone 11 will likely sport triple rear cameras, which is bound to result in larger-sized images. Moreover, with the introduction of native video editing in the iOS 13, users will tend to save videos on their device rather than the cloud. For the aforementioned reasons, it would be great if the company’s flagship smartphones feature 1 Terabyte of ROM. South Korean company Samsung was the first one to incorporate 1TB of internal storage in the Galaxy S10+ when it was launched in the month of February 2019.

    Primary USB Type-C Port
    Apple WWDC 2019 iOS 13
    iPhone X

It is expected that Apple will ship the iPhone 11 with a USB Type-C port instead of the Lightning port, which will improve the charging capabilities and unify connectivity across various devices. Apple’s MacBook Pro and iPad Pro both support charging via USB Type-C ports. As reported previously, the company may be planning a complete shift over to the USB Type-C environment. However, such a move may disrupt the sales of one of the highest selling Apple accessories, the USB-C to lighting cable adapter. Nonetheless, a Type-C port will be a nice and welcome addition to the new iPhones.

    Faster Face ID

    Apple iPhone XI Face ID

The announcement of iOS 13 brought forth a lot of exciting features, one of the prominent ones being a faster unlock speed via Face ID. The company claimed that Face ID authentication on the upcoming iPhone 11 will operate 30 percent faster than older devices. Apple is known for focusing on the performance statistics in all new iterations of operating systems. Hopefully, a combination of improved hardware (in the iPhone 11) and iOS 13 may result in even faster-unlocking speeds, which will be a delight for iPhone users.

    Reverse Wireless Charging
    iPhone XS Max

The presence of Reverse Wireless Charging (similar to the Galaxy S10+) in the iPhone 11 would be an added bonus for users. The feature will help users in charging their accessories with the help of their iPhones. For instance, the Apple Watch and the updated AirPods (with wireless charging) will be chargeable via Reverse Wireless Charging on the iPhone 11. Since the feature is hardware dependent, it will be exclusive to the new iPhones when they will be launched.

    Smaller Notch
    Apple iPhone XI
    iPhone X

Multiple features of the iPhone X were welcomed warmly by users, except the wide notch up front on the display. Although Apple is justified in incorporating a large notch in the device (owing to the sheer number of sensors), it still affects the aesthetics of the handset. The iPhone X notch currently houses the following sensors

    • IR Camera
    • Flood Illuminator
    • Proximity Sensor
    • Ambient Light Sensor
    • Speaker
    • Microphone
    • Front Camera
    • Dot Projector

For this reason, it would be great if Apple reduces the size of the notch in the iPhone 11 by 10 to 15 percent, which would greatly improve the design factor of the next generation iPhones.

  • iOS 13 Beta Reveals iPhone 2019 May Ship With USB Type-C To Lightning Cable

iOS 13 Beta Reveals iPhone 2019 May Ship With USB Type-C To Lightning Cable

Apple iPhones are the major buzz around this time each year, right before the launch of its flagship smartphones. The company is rumoured to ship the upcoming iPhones with an 18W charger with USB Type-C to Lightning cable. Apple has already moved the iPad Pro over to USB-C for its faster-charging capabilities and compatibility with a lot more accessories.

    Apple iPad Pro

It is unlikely that Apple would shift its entire lineup to USB type-C as it still generates considerable revenue by selling Lightning cables to its third-party accessory makers. The USB-C to Lightning cable adapter is one of the highest selling accessories from Apple. Hence, the complete shift would cause the company to rethink its revenue strategy and might only ship the iPhone XI and XI Max with the port, skipping the XIR. Since the iPhone 5 launched in the year 2012, the American company has used its proprietary connector dubbed the Lightning port.

The switch to USB Type-C to Lightning cable will also allow connecting the upcoming iPhones to a MacBook much easier; Negating the need for purchasing a separate cable to make the connection. The latest leak showcases a recovery screen from the iOS 13 Beta that shows a USB-C cable pointing towards a computer. The past iterations of this mode had a Lightning cable pointing at iTunes. However, due to the discontinuation of the iTunes platform, Apple may have decided to change the icon with the latest update.

    iPhones

The company has made fast charging feature available in its smartphone lineups since 2017s iPhone 8. However, the devices were never bundled with the fast charger but had to be separately purchased. Apple has since bundled the 18W fast charger along with the iPad Pro in late 2018, a first for the company. This move might be mirrored in the newer releases in Q3 2019.

The faster charging rates and better port compatibility in the future iPhones might take away from exclusivity but provide a healthy addition to the lineup. Although considering Apple’s tendency for a smooth and steady transition, it may entirely skip the USB-C to lightning cable for the new iPhones but instead offer the USB Type C port as a standard going forward in future iPhones.

  • Apple iPhone XI To Have Full Screen Touch ID

Apple iPhone XI To Have Full Screen Touch ID

Apple’s upcoming flagship smartphones have been a centrepiece of leaks and rumours for quite some time now. Going by previous leaks, the smartphones will feature triple rear camera sensors which may be set up in a triangular fashion. However, the latest revelations have nothing to do with the device’s camera. Instead, information regarding the biometric security has been leaked, and it divulges that the Apple iPhone XI may have a full screen Touch ID integration.

    Apple iPhone XI Leaked Details

Apple iPhone 11 Concept Render (Front And Back)As per sources, Apple’s upcoming smartphones will resemble the design factor of their predecessors, with the major difference being the additional rear camera lens. Furthermore, 3D touch functionality will be removed from the 2019 iPhones, which indicates that the company may introduce a Haptic Touch feature in its handsets.

Apple iPhone 11 Concept Render BackReportedly, all the iPhones will be transitioned to OLED displays in the year 2020, with LG becoming the secondary supplier of the same, reports state. The company will reportedly step-up the production of the next-generation iPhones in the months of July and/or August. As mentioned previously, the iPhone XI series will incorporate support for 5G connectivity in addition to 3D sensing in the rear camera. The highlight of the leaks, however, is the acoustic fingerprint sensor, which will enable fullscreen Touch ID capability in the smartphone. If and when this happens, the Apple iPhone XI will be the first smartphone to exhibit the aforementioned feature.

Sources also indicate that Apple may also launch a budget iPhone SE 2, which will be based on the lines of the iPhone 8. The popular Apple iPhone XR is also expected to receive an upgrade, which will bump up the RAM capacity from 3GB to 4GB along with updated chipset and dual cameras.

In light of other leaks, the 2019 iPhones may sport a frosted glass casing and an improved battery capacity. Moreover, “bilateral charging” feature may make its way to the new devices, which will function similarly to the Reverse Wireless Charging feature in the Samsung Galaxy S10 lineup. Reportedly, the feature will allow users to charge their Apple AirPods and Apple Watch by simply placing them on the back of the iPhone. Going by the company’s launch patterns over the years, Apple will unveil its latest smartphones in the month of September 2019.

2019 iPhone Models Will Get Support For Dual Audio Connection Over Bluetooth

Apple is four months away from launching its latest iPhone models which will succeed the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Max and the iPhone XR from 2018. Several details about the upcoming devices have already surged (1,2). A fresh report claims that the 2019 iPhone models will get a worthwhile feature for music aficionados. Reliable Japanese blog, Macotakara claims upcoming devices will support dual audio connections over Bluetooth.

Prominently, the feature will allow an iPhone to simultaneously connect with two Bluetooth devices. For example, while playing music on AirPods, the user can concurrently play the same audio stream on a Bluetooth speaker system in their house. Furthermore, two friends can listen to the same music from one smartphone on their individual totally wireless earphones (TWS).

Talking more about the 2019 iPhone models, the flagship level devices will allegedly be called iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max. While the name for iPhone XR successor is unknown as of now. The iPhone XI and XI Max are reported to have the same size screen as their predecessors which sport a 5.8 inch and a 6.5 inch Super Retina HD display respectively. The 2019 iPhone trio is reported to feature 12 MP selfie camera which is a significant bump in comparison to the 8 MP sensor found on current generation devices. Furthermore, the two flagship grade smartphones are reported to have triple rear facing cameras while the successor of iPhone XR will have dual rear cameras.

Like the Samsung Galaxy S10, the 2019 iPhone flagship models are also reported to support reverse wireless charging. In terms of chipset, the smartphones are will ship with updated Bionic chipsets which are assumedly called A13 bionic. The said chipset will be manufactured by TSMC via 5 nm fabrication process.  Also, new for 2019, Apple will reportedly ship the iPhone’s with 18 W fast charger

    2019 iPhone Case Renders

According to the leakster, Sonny Dickson, the case renders of the 2019 iPhone were sourced from Chinese case manufactures which increase their odds of turning out true. Noteworthy, the majority of case makers hail from China and they receive reference designs long before the official launch of the device. This is arranged so that the manufacturers are able to brace up the production of accessories before their demand surges suddenly.

The renders shared by the source reveal the dimensions and cutout of two separate devices which reportedly relate to the iPhone XI and the iPhone XI Max. The large handset measures 159 x 79 x 8.74 mm while the smaller handset measures 144 x 73 x 8.62 mm. Cupertino based tech giant, Apple is due to update its iPhone lineup in the second half of the year. Reports suggest, like 2018, the company will launch three iPhone models this year. The upcoming flagship devices will supposedly be called the iPhone XI (Eleven) and iPhone XI Max, while the name of iPhone XR‘s successor is unknown. Leaks from the past claimed that the 2019 iPhone flagships will have triple rear cameras and alleged case moulds of smartphones support the claim.

iPhone XI and XI Max Case Moulds

The alleged case moulds for the 2019 iPhone models were leaked by notable leakster, BenGeskin on the microblogging website, Twitter. The moulds are machined out of solid aluminium blocks and they reveal the design of the devices from both the front and back. The case moulds exhibit that the upcoming iPhone XI and the iPhone XI Max will have a similar front fascia to that of the iPhone XS (10S) and iPhone XS Max. Both smartphones have a high screen to body ratio accrediting to thin bezels on all sides. They also have a wide notch above the display like their predecessors.

The rear of the assumed case moulds of the iPhone XI and iPhone XI Max reveal an all-new design which harbours a triple rear camera setup, Apple logo and the iPhone phrase. Noteworthy, the placement of the Apple logo on both the smartphone case moulds is different which suggests another alteration in future devices in comparison to the current gen. The leaked case moulds certainly seem genuine, however, in order to verify their authenticity, we will have to wait till their official launch.

    Most Anticipated Smartphones Of 2019

The year 2018 is over and it has been a great year for smartphones around the world. From the notch becoming a trend to retractable cameras and in-display fingerprint sensors. Smartphones saw a lot of innovations this year. However, for 2019 there is a lot more to be seen! Each and every company is racing towards making the experience of using a smartphone better and more immersive and that means the notch has to go. Everything from foldable displays, dual displays, in-display cameras and a lot more can be expected from the year to come. In this article, we find out what the most anticipated phones of 2019 are.

    Samsung Galaxy S10

Rumors were doing the rounds that the Galaxy S10 would have a folding display that Samsung is working on. But now it seems Samsung will have two separate products – the smartphone and the tablet that folds up to become a phone. In a recent event, the company showed us an early prototype of the folding tablet and we might see it sooner than expected.

The base model Galaxy S10 will have a flat screen design with in-display front cameras and will have an edge to edge screen. Leaks also suggest that there will be three different variants of the phone. Two with an Edge display while one without.

    Apple iPhone XI

Apple has always been tight-lipped about their new phones but the 2019 upgrades might not be too revolutionary. It has been widely reported that the iPhone will still feature the notch in its 2019 version and may finally do away with it in 2020. A recent report suggests that Apple is teaming up with Sony to build 3D cameras that will provide more security and will bring about change in the way we photograph and view things.

Sony has also revealed that their 3D camera technology will be ready in 2019 itself and will be mass produced for consumers this year. Apple iPhones are known for their security features and great cameras. the company may use this technology this year itself or save it for the next big design change in 2020.

    OnePlus 7

Oneplus devices are one of the most anticipated devices every year due to their ‘budget flagship’ tag. OnePlus 7 will most probably see it’s launch around midsummer in 2019. The device is anticipated to have a small camera hole under the screen and is rumored to have smaller bezels. The in- display fingerprint sensor stays.

We are still not sure if Oneplus 7 will finally see an IP rating and a wireless charging feature or not but a recently leaked photo shows the company’s executives holding a phone with a huge circular shaped camera design at the back that is reminiscent of the Lumia 1020.

Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 4

Users were extremely unhappy to see the hideously big notch on this years Pixel device. Google being new to the hardware space, might take a little time to understand the trends in the smartphone industry. However, we can expect great things from the Pixel 4.

Keeping to the tradition, we can expect one of the best cameras on a smartphone from the Pixel 4 as is the case with all Pixel devices. We can also expect a bigger screen and no notch or a very small notch. There have been no leaks so far regarding the next generation Pixel.

    Huawei P30

As 5G knocks on the door of technology, most manufacturers are trying their best to re-imagine their upcoming phones with 5G. Huawei is no exception and the company’s new phone, the Huawei P30, will be 5G enabled. According to some renders, the Huawei P30 might feature 4 cameras at the back with a teardrop notch in front. The phone will look sleek and have very little in terms of bezels. It is expected to feature a Kirin 985 CPU and might sport 8GB/10GB of RAM. Reverse Wireless charge is expected to come to the P30.

    Xiaomi Poco F2

Xiaomi created a revolution with the launch of the Poco F1 which featured a Snapdragon 845 on a budget smartphone. The Snapdragon 845 was always seen in expensive flagship phones and a few lower price point flagships but a budget phone with the latest CPU offering was unheard of. Xiaomi quickly garnered a lot of support for the Poco lineup and now 2019 might see the second version of the phone.

According to a Geekbench listing, Poco F2 might not sport the latest Snapdragon 855 that almost all high end phones will feature in the coming year. The Poco F2 is reported to receive very little changes compared to its predecessor. The phone will have 6GB of RAM and will be loaded with Android Pie out of the box. It will be interesting to see what price point Xiaomi places this phone at and how it is welcomed by the Poco F1 fans.
