Waterproof Apple AirPods Could Launch By End Of 2019

Cupertino based, Apple has had an unsteady year when it comes to iPhone sales. Out of the three smartphones launched in 2018, the economical iPhone XR has been the best selling device. Nevertheless, the company has recorded a positive demand for its wearables (1,2) and tablet computer lineup(1). Apple’s totally wireless earphones (TWS), the AirPods which were first launched in 2016 have seen strong growth in the last couple of years.

Surprisingly, the analysts at Wedbush (a financial service and investment firm based in California) claim that Apple will be upgrading the AirPods for the third time later this year. The claim is surprising because the current gen wireless earphones were unveiled in the month of March this year.

According to the source, the future AirPod model will have enhanced design and will have waterproofing capabilities. Apparently, the extra features will also bump up the price of the upcoming wireless earphones which will reportedly carry the “AirPods Pro” moniker.

Even though the source does not discuss anything about the long-awaited premium over-ear headphones from Apple, they may also be unveiled alongside the AirPods Pro. Besides, not many details about the upcoming wearables are available. It is feasible that except for an enhanced design and IP rating, the 3rd generation AirPods will retain the innards of its predecessor.

To recall, the second gen AirPods feature the Apple-designed H1 chip with improved power efficiency and much faster connection sequence. It also supports the hands-free “Hey Siri” feature to launch the Apple voice assistant, a characteristic that was missing in the original device. The second generation AirPods also support wireless charging, but the case with this functionality has a higher price in comparison to the regular variant.

According to Apple, both the wireless and standard charging case options hold charging power for more than 24 hours of total listening time. The wireless charging case also features an external LED indicator on the front, which is an update from the internally placed LED indicator in the non-wireless charging case.

Even though the possibility of the claim turning into a reality is quite high, but nothing can be confirmed until Apple itself provides details about the future AirPods.

Laptop maker, Vaio which has now perished from the global electronics market is still going strong in its home country, Japan. The company has launched the Vaio SX12, an ultra-compact 12.5-inch laptop which only weighs 897 grams or less depending on the variant. Despite having a thin and light form factor, Vaio has managed to pack the SX12 with a wide variety of input and output ports which were usually present on much chunkier notebook computers from early 2010

The Vaio SX12 is made out of brushed aluminium which not only provides for a robust feel but also a premium design. The lid of the device is ergonomically designed, therefore, when in it is in the open state the base of the laptop slightly rises from the surface which allows for better airflow and convenient typing angle.

Even though Vaio SX12 has a compact footprint, the laptop packs a full-size keyboard which is well spaced. Sanso X Will Be The World’s First Smartphone With Invisible Selfie Camera
Sanso is a less known electronics and smartphone manufacturer from Germany. The company is reportedly developing a high-end smartphone which will be packed flagship specifications in addition to a couple of distinguishing features.

According to a leak, the upcoming device will be dubbed the Sanso X and it will be the world’s first commercially available smartphone to have an “indisplay camera” sensor. As the name suggests, the front-facing selfie camera on the smartphone will be placed beneath the display and will remain hidden when not in use. As soon as the said camera is toggled, the pixels right above it will turn off allowing the sensor to capture images and videos through the transparent display.

The innovative feature on the Sanso X will reportedly be similar to the prototype smartphone that was showed off by Oppo last month. The source alleged that the upcoming Galaxy Note 10 will support 20 W fast charging which was reassured by a Japanese user. A picture shared by the latter shows a wireless charger which can charge a Samsung smartphone or wearable device with 20 W of maximum power. Surprisingly, not only will upcoming smartphones from the Korean manufacturer be able to take charge at this high wattage but it will also be able to reverse charge other devices at the same rate. Until now, only the Mi Mix 3 can wirelessly charge at 20W but it cannot reverse charge at this high rate.

Besides, the 20 W fast wireless charging, the upcoming flagship grade smartphone will also reportedly support 45 W wired charging which will be fastest on any Samsung smartphone till date. The current leak does not provide any other details about the upcoming Note 10 but they can be derived from past leaks.

Sony To Launch A Rollable Smartphone To Compete Against Galaxy Fold

OnePlus 7 Debuts In Mirror Blue Colour

Fake Update App Fools 10 Million Samsung Galaxy Owners
The Google Play Store has been subjected to multiple incidents for unknowingly circulating applications that are ridden with malware or adware. In the lookout for the latest firmware updates, 10 Million Samsung Galaxy smartphone owners downloaded a fake app from the Play Store.

The “Updates For Samsung” application which has now been taken down from the Play Store is not affiliated with Samsung (yet distributing their firmware). Shockingly, the application offered an annual subscription of US $ 34.99 in exchange for allowing users to download the latest software updates in exchange for high-speed downloads which are freely available in fact (explained later).

Besides, the “Updates For Samsung” app did provide free updates but the downloads were capped to 56 kbps. Therefore, it would take days or even weeks to download an update package which would not weigh more than 2 GB. Hence, a large number of users fell for the trap and ended up paying for the subscription.

Adding further to the list of concerns is the fact that payments made to purchase a subscription on “Updates For Samsung” were processed through the companies own website and not Google Play which is usually a case.

Furthermore, the “Updates For Samsung” application was loaded with adware and some users complained that it was extremely resource hungry. One user wrote that it could bring the flagship grade Galaxy S10 to a grinding halt which would require a reboot to return to a functional stage.

In case you did not know, every Samsung smartphone has a built-in update checker which can be used to install the latest firmware update without any additional cost. Following is the method that will allow you to check and update your Samsung Galaxy smartphone:

If an update is available, click Download.

Once downloaded, press install.

Under the hood, the Mate 30 Pro will feature the Kirin 985 SoC which will debut with the flagship smartphone.

The Mate 30 Pro is claimed to have a punch hole camera on the front which is becoming a common sighting on premium and mid-range Android smartphones. Speaking of rear camera setup, the device may have a quad rear camera which was exhibited by freshly leaked case and renders.

Noteworthy, the company may unveil the Mate 30 Pro along with HongMeng OS which it has been developing covertly for years. According to a senior executive, the upcoming OS is 60 percent faster than Android OS which seems like an astounding claim. Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 Renders Reveal Triple Rear Cameras
The edge to edge display that is prevalent on most flagship smartphones in 2019 was first conceptualised with the Mi Mix from the year 2016. The smartphone has negligible bezels on all sides of the display except for a considerable chin which houses the selfie camera.

Currently, in its third generation, Xiaomi is planning to launch the latest iteration of the device. As per chronological name scheming, the upcoming smartphone will be called the Mi Mix 4. The alleged renders of the handset have surfaced on Chinese social media website, Weibo which have revealed interesting findings of it.

The alleged renders of the Mi Mix 4 exhibit a modern smartphone that has a gradient back which houses a triple rear camera setup. Upon close inspection, it can be derived that the bootom-most lens in the arrangement has a square shape. A similar sensor is found on the Huawei P30 Pro which supports up to 5X optical zoom and 50x hybrid zoom. Therefore, the Mi Mix 4 may also be equipped with this functionality.

The right side of the alleged Mi Mix 4 is occupied by the power button and the volume rockers while its left side is occupied by a mute slider. As uncovered by the leaks, the device might be launched in three colour options which include red gradient, green gradient and blue gradient.

Redmi K20 Pro Indian Price Leaks, Starts At Rs 24,999
Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi unveiled its flagship grade smartphones in China in the month or May. Dubbed the K20 and K20 Pro, the handsets are packed with high-end specifications and carry a lucrative price tag. The two smartphones are highly anticipated in India and earlier this week, Xiaomi announced the devices will be unveiled on the 17th of July at an event which will be held in New Delhi.

Days before the official unveiling, the alleged prices of the flagship grade K20 Pro have leaked on Twitter. According to the source, the smartphone will be offered in four storage variants for which the prices are as follows:
- 6 GB + 64 GB- Rs 24,999
- 6 GB + 128 GB- Rs 25,999
- 8 GB + 128 GB- Rs 27,999
- 8 GB + 256 GB- Rs 29,999
The official prices are yet to be revealed by the company but taking into consideration the current INR to CNY conversion rate the leaked prices seem accurate. Samsung Announces Galaxy Tab A 8.0 With 5100 mAh Battery
Following the launch of Galaxy Tab S5e and Galaxy Tab 10.1, Samsung has announced another tablet. The new tablet computer is dubbed the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and is targeted towards the budget consumers.

The front of the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 accommodates an 8 inch TFT display which is surrounded by thick bezels on all four sides. The display panel on the Galaxy Tab 8.0 has a resolution of 1280 x 800 px and 16:10 aspect ratio. The rear of the smartphone has an aluminium construction which houses the company branding and rear-facing camera.

In terms of weight and dimensions, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 measures 210 x 124.4 x 8 mm and tips the scale at 345 g (Wi-Fi variant). The variant with 4G VoLTE support weighs a tad bit more at 347 g. For photography, the tablet computer features and 8 MP camera on the rear and a 2 MP camera on the front which is placed in the bezel above the display.

The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is offered in a single storage variant which packs 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM. Besides, it also supports memory expansion upto 512 GB via a microSD card. To compliment media consumption on a large screen display, the tablet computer also features dual speakers.
